attack of the animals?

Check these pics out..did you guys ever have this problem? or see this happen before? i bought the car like this( they ordered the part after i bought it to fix it) But..man, its weird. Looks like a rat or something chewed it up(or a hungry mechanic) In the picture, look at the fire sheild(i guess) on the firewall. the big freaking hole on it! lol

You need to do a boost leak test. There have been mice in the engine bay.

And nice BOV

Someone on here was complaining about it a month or two ago. It's a problem with cars left outdoors, especially when it gets colder.

you really think a boost leak test should be done because of it? TIME FOR A GARAGE!

that + the hesitation issues you've been seeing. The stupid flexi-hose UICP on there looks like a perfect thing to develop a leak (and I've seen one pop off at the track). If you have an issue under full boost, it could be a small boost leak.

JJ has a nice boost gauge installed. He might chime in with which one he's got.

Here's a decent install walkthrough: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...lean-hell.html

the bottom isn't nearly 100% sealed and mice can get into VERY small holes.

ive seen mice and rats all the time near and around my house but never anything chewed. and i dont have my undertray either. id remove all that cardboard sound deadening crap, its not necessary anyways. plus if you take it out of the interior and gut the trunk you can lose a whole 40 pounds i know not much of a gain there.
