Help in Arlington (EVO @ AutoConnections USA)

Hey all. Does anyone know about the TB EVO VIII @ the AutoConnections in Arlington? I'll attach the link to it at the end of this post but I'm currently in Iraq and I have a buddy looking at getting an EVO and we need to get him started off on the right foot. Any help with any info on the car and the dealership will be appreciated.

Contact for the car is Brandon Daniels.

Thanks. PM me or Darkreign with info or post it here. We'll subscribe to keep track of any info you have.

i worked on the car for autoconnection i beleive (if it is the same black evo). it didn't boost correctly when they got it, and it had idling issues.

i fixed the boosting issue it had (the vacuum lines for the stock boost control solenoid were hooked up incorrectly). i also fixed a few things related to it not being put back to stock correctly (missing the airbox bracket, upper intercooler pipe put together incorrectly). i also flashed the car back to stock as it had a tune on it.

i did a compression check on it and that was good, and i did a boost leak test on it, with the throttle body definately needing new seals ( i beleive related to the idle issue). i don't remember if they had me fix the throttle body or not. Denver might remember too cause he was helping with it as well.

sorry if i can't remember anything else about the car because it has been a while since i worked on it. essentially i did the basic checks on it, and fixed some things related to the PO not returning the car back to stock correctly. oh, and i beleive it just got a brand new clutch as well (that was how i met up with autoconnection, the guy doing the clutch was calling me for advice on how to do it )

Yeah from the looks it looks like the same black car we worked on. We did not end up replacing the TB seals, but its a minor issue, but should be done, that said almost every car that comes in for a boost leak check leaks a little around the seals on the TB, aka mine as well :-) .

it drove will, i drove it back and fourth to work a couple days while we worked on it. The interior to me seemed a little rough, I have about the same miles on my car, and the same year, and my interior is in better shape. The drivers seat is showing wear and the headliner looked dirty (Im rather picky too)

Overall the car is in good shape though, no whines from the t-case, shifts smooth, runs well

Also, we dealt (sp) with a guy named Allen at Auto Connections, you might try contacting him too... I lost his number but might be able to find his email address
