Floating TV install help!

Ok..im sure some of you guys are pretty good at this ****. So at my new place im moving to in two weeks, I'm going to be mounting my TV on the wall in the living room again..but what i noticed is that my closet of my bedroom is on the other side of that wall. So what i was thinking of doing is instead of dropping the wires through the wall down to the tv stand i have..to run the wires through the wall to the closet and have all of my components in there. With an infrared repeater i can hide right on the back of the TV, i can use my all in one remote to control all of it. It'd just kind of suck when i want to watch movies..but i got 6 disk changer so i'll just keep it stocked with movies.

Heres the troubles im running into:

1. how are those infrared repeaters quality wise? Are they a pain in the ***?
2. I have a 5.1 surround sound..it has wireless rear speakers..but my concern is if i have the box in the closet will the wireless penetrate through the walls or is it more made for in the same room kind of thing? I currently have my wireless reciever behind the couch in my current layout and it seems to work fine, but its also in the same room.

Thanks for the help guys

the infrared repeaters can kinda of suck if you get a cheap one. I have one in the media room and it doesn't work 100%. Your wireless speakers can work ok, depends on the interference in the area (microwaves).

You need to get a NMT (Network Media Tank) or modded Xbox and put all your movies on a hard drive so you can skip the whole "use a dvd" thing.

Yeah That is true about the media thing..my 5.1 surround sound has a 6 cd changer is all i was saying about that. I am really more worried about the wireless rear speakers making it through the wall.

can you test it at your current place? Put the speakers in a different room and see what it does.
