dang thing keeps revving

ok, got an annoying as all hell thing going on.. doesn't happen all the time.. but half the time going anywhere from 3/4 to full throttle and shifting gears the thing keeps revving.. at first I thought it was me.. so I left it in gear and hit around 5k to 6k and let off without shifting.. steal does it.. return spring seems to be ok.. pedal has tension.. what ideas ya got ?

its a fairly common problem. do a search for throttle hang, there were a few really big threads on it. i haven't read them in a while so i don't know if a solution was ever found.

happens on the X too.

If you floor an X it will slooooooowly come down.

if it were that easy it wouldn't be a common problem if and when it happens to you, you'll know because it is quite annoying.

I feel you on that one. Mine does that and it freaking revs really high when I start it up in the morning on my way to work which I'm sure pisses my neighbors off considering it's about 5:45 in the morning. It also does it in the evening when I'm leaving work. I hate it with a passion!
