Whats up austin. Im down here in killeen and we do our evo/subie meets every friday, where do you guys meet up at we would like to come out there and expand the meetings and friends. We are all under the Ft Hood evo check in, we had a big turn out last week about 15 subies and 20 evos and the rest of killeen hasnt even been showing up just a bunch of cool guys with no drama involved get together to chill. We are organizing cruise nights and locations and would like to meet up so lets us know what the deal is on where you guys chill at

I've not gone to these event in years because of all the idiots doing things to bring the wrong kind of attention to US. However, if you guys come down, and it's a chill meet, I may be in again. I'm just not cool being a part of ANY activities that bring down the law... I'm too damn old for that crap whether I look it or not.

2010XMAN, I'm up for a meet. Just got my evo, apparently traded in from someone from killeen, would be cool to meet the guy (or someone else familiar with my car's past). I'm new to the scene so tell me where to go, and if the wife's cool with it I'll be there 
To reiterate Zeus's point, I haven't yet had a traffic ticket with my evo (it's been 7+ years total). I'd like to keep it that way, or at least let the wound be self-inflicted solo.

I would be up for it as well, but Zeus summed up my feelings to the tee. As long as the attitude and behavior is mellow I'd love to hang and cruise.

Just east of Bastop on 71 this morning spotted a black 8 with gold wheels following a white GTR with black wheels going west towards Austin. Couldnt convince the wife to let me turn around and catch up and wave

Its funny you say that, with all the waves its like once you get an evo (or even an sti) you kinda "join the club". I was riding with a friend who just got a motorcycle when I saw that black one on mopac, and he mentioned that bikers do the same thing (wave at like vehicles). You don't ever see that driving a kia..

Is there an Austin meetup then? I have a blue Evo x in central Austin right around the corner from Epoch Coffee.
I'd definitely be interested in meeting up with other Evo owners and Subie owners as well. I'm thinking in the near future to purchase a 2003 evo or maybe a 2004 subie as a project car and do only minor mods on my current car. Right now my second car is a crappy oldsmobile aurora.
