Ya, we definitely do. I live in the Garlic creek neighborhood. Do you have any engine mods done to your ralliart?

I do not have any ideas yet but I am looking mainly for a place with a parking lot that is a decent size(nothing huge)and is usually pretty empty. If it is a restaurant parking lot, maybe we can do a dinner with the meet like you said. I will keep an eye out for a place like that and maybe ask the owner or whomever if we can do a meet there and let em know that it will be a small scale meet. Also, Saturday is good with me. I will look around this Saturday to see if there is anywhere that looks like a good candidate for a meet. I do not know anyone else with an evo.

 

I do know the General Manager at Green Mesquite in South Park Meadows. They also have car shows every third Saturday (I got a Trophy there). I mean we don't need a special treatment or anything, just meet up somewhere and grub, or start a little meet with us Evos somewhere and snap pics and just hang.

I got it approved to use our garage here at work for a Sat night meet.

 

Ok, gotcha, then we can plan anything. How far south do we wanna go? I was thinking maybe meeting outside of the Third Base at South Park Meadows. The parking lot is open and there is food all around if we wanna do that too. Just an idea. let me know what you guys think. And BTW, I sent you a facebook friend request.

 

yea im in creek side park. I have a few things done ets fmic w/ ets upper and lower icp, MR bpv, magna flow exhaust, test pipe, cobb ap w/ custom tune but for Colorado 6,000ft above sea level, im running rich down here hopefully soon I can retune it. I see you got some great mods on your, what you putting down to the wheels?


Maybe Cabelas might be a good location see how they have plenty of parking for a small gathering and close to food spots...

 

I don't mind it being south, I just want to keep in mind we have a couple of peeps North Austin.
I also think there is already a meet on Sat for muscle heads at Cabelas.

I used to live in that neighborhood but this was about 12 years ago. I would have to get it to a dyno to see what I am putting down because I am not 100% sure on where I am. I have a dyno sheet from one of the early pulls during tuning and it is at 471/368 but I wanted right at 500 to the wheels when they started and I believe he told me it was right around 491/390 when they were done but I know my stock block can handle more torque so I think I am gonna get another tune done.

 

Yeah I too have heard about cars meeting at cabelas and then running the tolls late on sat night. I'd def be down to kick it with some real evos haha jk. I don't go south too often so I'm not real familiar with that area since I live out in the country, good old Taylor Texas. I can back road it and get to the 290 and 35 area. Sounds like there will be some scouting for places going on so that is cool. O btw there is a car show in downtown round rock this sat, I don't think it is real big tho.

 

A Saturday night meet at your garage sounds good to me man. What Saturday were you thinking? My schedule is always pretty open so any weekend is good with me. What weekend(for this first meet) would everyone like to do it? Then while we chill or grab some food, we can discuss future plans for the Evo meet.

 

I live waay north but its all good, that would be cool to check it out. Im with you, I would be ok meeting up at knuckles shop for first and talking about what and where is next. What about Sat the 21st? Does that work for anybody? Sorry knuckles if Im jumping the gun and volunteering your place. Feedback?

 

2/12/15. Saw a sweet blue IX MR with loud exhaust around 183 and Braker today, then surprise surprise I saw a clean white IX MR heading North on Jollyville Road. I later saw the same blue IX MR heading North on 183 and then cruising over on Neenah. I never, I mean never, see Evos up North, so I was pretty surprised to see two within about 5 minutes of each other.

I was in a pathetically dirty red Evo IX. I really hate this car washing ban in Austin.

There are more posts in the last week than this thread has seen in a year. Good to see some ATX activity.

I regularly see a yellow 8 on 360 headed south near the bridge at around 7am. I'm occasionally in a silver '05 MR that hasn't been washed since 2010. But mostly I've been sentenced to life in a Prius.

Also, there's a white Evo X in Dripping on 12, maybe a mile north of 290. Just curious if they're on this board.

 

Nope cant say I have seen those guys around my part of town..
