Shops in Killeen/Ft Hood

Anyone know any good shops in K-town ? My car is in need of a drop...I got some swift springs awhile ago and I dont have any tools... If anyone can help me out I'll buy you a big lunch or dinner, or buy you a reasonable car part?! Thanks

i just got an alignment at my local NTB
I had to ask around for one that was comfortable w/a custom alignment as well as an in ground rack
they had a spring compressor cage on the wall and of course the alignment rack which will be needed before you venture too far..
I bought an alignment policy that covers me for a year or two in case i need to crank it back up again

lucked out picking the right height, if I'd have gone any lower
he wouldn't have been able keep the correct settings for the rear wheels
don't know if yours has the same problem being front wheel drive

Luckily, I made sure I did my research and got a pair of springs that are a modest drop too... I think its like 1.4 in the front and .8 in the rear. I hope they offer some type of warranty as well..

I just did mine a while ago with a friend, why pay when you can do it yourself. I dont know if the OzRally's are the same as an EVO but I will help and ask my friend.

I'd recommend getting in contact with Wariosport here on the forum. He got his springs installed in Austin at a fairly decent price and as far as the alignment is concerned, if you are military, the small gas station down the street from the main food court and inprocessing did my alignment for just under $70.

I installed my springs(swifts) at the craft shop and then got an alignment at Soul Speed in Austin.

Its called Sprockets autocraft center. You get the shocks off and they swap the springs for like $20. Its really easy. You will get rapped by local shops for drop springs. You can get an alignment locally since you are not doing anything crazy. I hear the guy at Meineke in Killeen does a good alignment.

All the shops in Killeen suck! Everyone looks at my car like if it's a damn spaceship. I get asked stupid questions, and if you have to ask what kind of car a Ford Cobra is you shouldn't be working at any shop period.

I think we'd do better work out of our own garages than taking it to any place here. I wouldn't even let someone pay me to work on my car here in this town let alone pay them!

I agree. Killeen is pretty bad about aftermarket help

Unless you own a big *** ugly truck you don't seem to get too much support out here. Other than trucks the only other vehicles i've seen running around are rice mobiles
