thanks!! most definitely.. plan to mount my camera while driving the course and will stick the vids on my youtube page... will be slow as a dog (street tires, new track) so expectations of ***-kicking just yet should be = 0.... for now

appreciate all the comments and support dudes... yes they made it worth the effort so we decided to take on this adventure... the summers I hear are like arizona style, but humid, cause we are on the ocean. other than that, no real complaints once you get past the initial shock of being on the other side of the world. Dubai is a fun town.

I suggest the following job sites:
bayt.com
gulftalent.com
monstergulf.com

Why am I here

Working. Wife and I got a couple of decent jobs and decide to move. Been here 4 months, and planning to stay a few years at least.

Regarding selling cars - yes, its possible to sell your Evo here as they don't have very many. However I can't do it for ya, since we already have two cars under our name and can't import any more. But what I CAN do for you is post on the local Evo and performance car website that you'd like to sell your ride... I suggest a for sale ad with your contact info, links to your car pics etc. hope that can get you some good leads... shipping from usa to uae is about a couple thousand dollars and a decent buyer would pay that.

Sure, no problem... My wife is focused in Urban Planning (large city development projects), and I'm focused in Information Technology - Financial Planning, Strategy, Program Management. We are both working for Semi-Govt owned companies (i.e. safe).

Howdy! long time no chat.... is your car out of KevinD's shop now and back in your hands? I know you had that turbo Miata flyin' away the last time we were out there together.

I took a leave of absense (inactive status) from my friends at MSR... do hope to come back soon, so can't loose that - too many memories and loads of seat time practice at that track... I'm hoping it'll come in handy here to be competitive (and eventually kick butt).

Don't know of any off hand, but if you'd like I can certainly ask around. Really think you'd like to do this, i.e. jump this far across the pond? but thanks to the internet, you wouldn't be able to tell that I'm sitting 8,000 miles away or just down Cooper street in Arlington (ex-UTA).

My parents live in Dubai
I hear that the economy is in bad shape there

Have you seen any signs of that?

My parents were talking about moving back to the states because it is so bad.

Glad to see that you are doing well. Dubai is one fun town...so much to do and see!
