man i just read e85 switches to 79% in oct?

now i dunno how true it holds for houston weather since its not cold down here...

so if we get tuned on 79% and summer comes it jumps to 85%. we make more power right? as long as we dont get tuned on 85% and then run 79%. that would be asking for trouble?

o yea..i'm getting two tunes, pump and e85.

i believe if you are tuned on the winter blend you will be fine when it goes to summer blend. However, i heard Houston only receives E85 summer blend. But i could be wrong. They sell an Ethanol guage that reads the percentage of ethanol in your tank. Might want to invest in that so you arent guessing.

SmurfyTc knows all about the blends and I also believe there are 3 blends but we only get 2 of them.

Wick3d3vo has paid deposit. last spot filled and we are officially FULL! 3 evos/day... plus multi maps... Chris you got your hands full buddy!

We're also doing a 2wd dyno day at Inline Racing $30 for 3 pulls and possibly a bbq while others get tuned by Mellon. Unfortunately, the dynojet is a 2wd... so just spread the word to your fwd/rwd buddies so they have something to do while we all get tuned!

thanks again to everyone that sent in their deposits and especially Tom for coordinating this for us.

everyone please make sure:
1 wb02 is working
2 zip ties on all vacuum hoses (even the hard ones behind the intake, egr,etc...)
3 boost leaks test is done and all leaks are corrected, this cannot be done properly with the naked eye, get a tester kit and air compressor or get a friend to help.
4 fresh spark plugs are installed, gapped to .022 to fight spark blowout.

following these simple steps can mean a huge difference in performance and reduce the time it takes to get tuned. I have quite a few cars to tune so we need to be efficient to make sure everyone gets plenty of time with me.

looking forward to getting started guys, thanks again!

This maybe a dumb question but I had my 60k maintenance done a few months ago, don't they change out spark plugs then? Im assuming that if they did that they are correctly spaced...

possibly but they wouldn't have gapped them down to .022

Chris is right... the stock gap is excessive and intended for stock boost/power levels. If you are uncomfortable gapping iridium plugs (seems to be a popular concern here) Then i'll help gap them down that day. Still suggest having a spare set on hand though.
