There are a few that live here in Houston. You should visit the South Regional forum.
I'd be glad to help you out. This weekend my friend and I will be working on our cars over in Katy. Feel free to stop by.

When you say Katy, do you mean off I-10? Oh, and thank you for replying to my last post. I wonder what part of town Auto Bot is from. I would like to meet someone who knows a whole lot about this shiat, I'm starting off totaly bran-new to this shiat... kinda embarrassing but hey, I wanted to start somewhere. I'm interested in learning about how to improve my drive train cause a Warranty doesn't last a lifetime. Also, I'm interested in all the steps before I go adding turbo (which won't be for a long long time) I'm more interested in increasing torque and learning to switch gears a lot cleaner(first time standard driver). Like I said, lot's of this stuff is foreign to me, but I want to learn. I think if we were to get together someplace it'ld have to be downtown someplace because that's probably easiest for people instead of having to go way across town or something. So.... without further or due, it would be sweet if my Lancer had....

Yeah Katy is on I-10 about 10 miles west of Beltway 8 on the west side of Houston.
I think my friend and I are going to install a new turbo on his Dad's Galant this weekend.
Other than that we work on them most weekends. I am also looking for people to come over so I can get some ideas for suitable bolt kits.

EVO

Has anyone in the Houton area been able to get any information about the EVO. I ahve tried a few dealers and no luck yet. Just wondering if anyone has fared any better.

evlancer: I live on the far east side close to Baytown. I am 29.

rgmxp: Do you have any idea what kind of information they might have had. They are on the other side of the world from me so I would hate to spend 2 hours going over there and back to have them tell me that it will be about 250+hp and close to 30k, which we all pretty much already know.

In terms of info that dealerships got, I would say most people on Lancer Forums know more about the upcoming EVO than most salesperson.

I talked to three dealerships like last year, and called back couple months ago. I talked to both Gillman (Bellaire & North) and have a space at the North Gillman for an EVO. They don't know jack about this car in terms of spec, they just know it will be here "late 2002 or early 2003" (quote 11/01). However, even now, they still don't have anything on the specs
