In New Orleans
Hey Ryan,
Was in New Orleans this weekend all my family lives on the West Bank, or Gretna to be exact. Maybe we can meet up with you at one of the road races or meetings. It'd be nice to get everyone together at one of the events to swap stories. Its always great to catch up with other fellow Evo owners. Stay tuned to this thread we can post upcoming races and events for any one intersted in attending.

New Orleans
Hey Ryan!
Jim here, I'm about 165 miles west of you in Eunice.
It's good to hear from another Yellow owner, I've only seen one other one our color and that was in Baton Rouge when I was Christmas shopping at the Mall of Louisiana but didn't get to meet up because of traffic.
I should be in your area at least once, maybe twice this summer for some of your SCCA regions big autocrosses. Maybe we can meet up.

Jim (Scraper), Volunteer, et al.
I've been seriously wanting to get into autocross. Although, I'm a total newb. I own and operate a business. It's tough to find time away from work. I'd like to take some driving classes. I was thinking about attending the Evolution Phase I. Are there any others you might recommend, perhaps somewhere closer to home.
Thanks,
Ryan

Driving Schools
Ryan,
Its funny you asked that I missed Jim's event this past Sunday becuase I was in New Orleans, right down the road from where I was they were having a driving school for the New Orleans club at the Belle Chasse Naval/Air base. Here's the link to their website http://www.delta-scca.org/ I would have like to go bye, but didn't read about it until today. I have family that live right down the road. It looks like they have quite a few events out at the air base in Belle Chasse you might want to check it out. As far as being a newbie at it, so am I. I haven't participated in an event yet, but plan to start doing things with Jim and his club up in Lake Charles. A friend of mine did his first event this past weekend and said it was a blast. Well look forward to meeting up with you. Occasionally I work that way, and do visit maybe I can meet up with you. I too would like to participate in one of those driving classes.

SoWeLa meeting tonight
Thanks for the invite Jim I had planned on going but have family in town tonight. I will make the next TLAC race though and plan to make the meeting next month. Chris (cajunpower) is heading to Dallas to get dynoed so he won't make it either. He asked if you had the results of the last race yet. Well I hate to miss the fun, but I'll catch up next go round. Cheers..

Guys,
I live right on the New Orleans Lakefront. My condo complex is right down the street from R&O's restaurant. The lake is literally a walk across the street. In the same area as Deanie's seafood, Two Tony's, Sidmar's, etc. Sunday afternoons are generally OK with me. If anyone wants to set up a time, I'm game.
