I know of two in that area. We run auto-cross events out there during the auto-cross season, I'm an hour away in Lafayette. We'll shoot you a p.m. next time we're there. Originally Posted by mrcox

I'm also about an hour away from Lake Charles.
Don't know of any shops there but if you're into autocrossing SoWeLa Region of the S.C.C.A. http://www.sowela-scca.org/is based out of there and we've just started our seaon.
In fact, I'm eating breakfast and fixing to head our to Kinder for our TLAC event.
We will be having our next regional event in Lake Charles on May 15th and I will be the event chariman and course desinger.
If you're intersted give me a yell.
And there is also a race track a couple of hours east of there called No Problem Raceway where they have lapping days and PDE's every now and again.
Mucho fun!!

They usually start up about 11a.m., but you want to get there by 9a.m. for tech and sign in. Here is the mailer that goes out. I won't make this one Sunday, but look forward to seeing another Evo out there. Jim (Scraper) is always there in his yellow Evo. If you have mods probably put you in STU is usually the class we run in.
Registration & tech opens: 9:00 am
Timed Runs Begin: 11:30 am
Entry fee: $15 ($10 for Novices & McNeese students w/ID)
All competitors must have a valid drivers license.
Trophies will be awarded at the end of the competition.
Come race with us and bring a friend. See you there !!!!!

The ending time depends on how many drivers show up and how long the course is, usually anywhere between 3:30pm to 5:00pm.
Even if you can't make it in time to run feel free to stop by and say hi.

Ted, I've been following your posts when Shiv was tuning your car. I'd like to meet up with you one day in NO. All my family lives on the Westbank and Belle Chasse. I'll pm you next time I'm over that way, I'd really like to check out your car.

As of late, I travel often and have been leaving my EVO parked in AL. If you PM me a week or so in advance, I'll try to bring it down and show up at the Lakefront.
