aha! urika! boost enlightment

First of all I want to thank Jonas, for hooking me up with Colby(AVC-R tuner). He tuned my car and Ben's.

After Leaving the meet, I could really feel the difference in power, but I told Dan to keep his eye on the boost gauge to make sure we were not going over 1.5 on the boost gauge (1.5 kg/Cm =21.36 psi) I got in to it with a Mustang on the way to Best buy and Dan said the gauge went up to 1.6+. 1.6 = 22.76 so I called Colby and he said not worry if it spikes a little over 1.5 as long as it does not stay up there. I don't want to blow anything up so I went ahead and tested each gear vs boost pressure again and I noticed that on 4th gear it was holding at 1.6+ a little too long for my confort. So I lowered the boost level to 1.45 (it was at 1.5 with a 54% duty service) now I'm at 1.4 on the boost gauge.

AHAA! Each gear has a different boost level!!
Colby only set the boost for 2 settings - a & b not for each gear.

With my new found knowledge that each gear has a different boost, I can now customize the setting to each gear and utilize the AVC-R to it's full capabilities. Piece of cake now I am enlightened kick-*** meet last night. We had the most organized group on the srtip!

Glad to hear your car is running strong hector. I told you we would get someone to help you tune your AVC-R at the meet.

thanks Andy and way to kick STI butt! I gues it's back to the drawing board for me. I tried to customize the AVC-R but did not have much luck today. I'll figure it all out and post some real numbers later.
