Hey guys, so far it looks like me, TDC, robertrinaustin, kam (in from houston), and Zeus will be meeting up at the Y I guess in Austin. PM me for more info, I am not real super familiar with Austin, I livin in New Braunfels, but all the other guys know their way around. Sorry for short notice but this just kind of evolved into something

 

hey is this for a evo meet only?? cuz i live in austin, and theres a better place to meet on saturday. but only at night, its Vans autoparts. they have cars meet there every saturday night, all nice cars and car clubs meet there too.

 

There is a meet evey Saturday at the Y in Oak Hill as well. It is mostly just old school muscle cars, but there are usually a few imports there. Everyone's welcome.

 

I like the scene at vans because its all types of cars, domestic, import even some of the wackiest youve seen. well thats where im at every saturday night, well at least every DRY saturday night.

 

You should come check out the Y in Oak Hill.

My bad, saturday the 17th, I was in a rush to get to class when typing this. maybe we can go to the Y and then cruise to Van's for a bit, I really don't care, I'm down for whatever as long as the people at these places aren't like the people at Rankin Road back when I lived in Houston, have seen some really stupid and dangerous stuff out there.

Take I-35 south to either the Howard Ln exit or Parmer Ln exit. The airport is between those two roads east of I-35 behind the shopping sprawl in the warehouse complex.

Which Van's does everyone meet up at on Saturdays? The main warehouse on 183?

 

yeah from what I've heard, I haven't been there personally, you get on 183 only thing else I know about it is that it's before PepBoys.

 

Yeah, it's before PepBoys if you're heading north. I'm not sure what the northbound exit is since I always head in southbound, but I know the PepBoys exit is too far, and that's the Burnet Exit.

I think the exit northbound might be Payton Gin and Ohlen. Though it may also be something like Anderson Square. If you do go too far and end up at the Burnet/PepBoys exit, you can always pop a U turn at Burnet and another one when you get down to where Vans is.

 

babyburner, yeah the ricers of Houston are abundant but they are mostly harmless, I was talking about all of those crazy bastards that would bring guns and stuff to Rankin, people getting jumped and robbed, dudes running around in the backs of pick up trucks shooting cars and people with bb and pellet guns, drug deals going down under the cover of "street racing, and oh yeah do I ever miss the thrill of running from the police helicopters out there when they would bust Rankin, I almost got run over by a big Dodge truck out there one night when everyone was scattering, the guy thought it would be cool to cut a corner through the grass and come up over one of the big ditches that I was running by, luckily a friend grabbed me while I was in mid air, trying to jump out of the way, and pulled me away with the truck grazing my leg, I was lucky as hell that night, me and that friend don't talk any more but I do still owe him for that night

 

The wife and I won't be meeting up with you guys until late... I won't be leaving the house at Slaugther and Brodie until about 11pm.
