AstroEvo,

I encourage you to take up the offer and prove the capabilities of your car. For some reason, I don't expect you to show, but if you do, all the more impressive.

My pleasure. Seriously, I would be honored to see some fast Evo's out on the roadcourse using them as they were intended versus being relegated to some glorified drag racer.

Dynoflash is better than a Super AFC, but a standalone is better than a dynoflash... Super AFC is garbage

Why's safc2 a joke? Our cars run pretty damn rich, this safc can at least help some of that.

Well of course that, but not many people wanna spend $1000 on a standalone product like yours.

So somewhat getting back on topic, while I own and love the Evo and think it's an absolute blast to drive on a road course, an equivalent driver will produce faster times in a stock Z06 than an Evo every time. The Z06 weighs less, has more HP/torque, and handles just as well (if not better) than a stock Evo. Sure for some amount of money (perhaps less than the total cost of a Z06) you could make your Evo faster, but that's hardly the point. What you should do is try to get a really good driver to crush your friend's Z06 using something like a miata. MSR is really a driver's track and a good driver will easily overcome the performance differences of the two cars.

This isn't a Z06... It is a C5 with bolt-ons... Basically my car is just a tad slower in a straightline (couple of cars)... I don't understand why people think a cammed Evo couldn't hang in the twisties... With street rubber, the Evo would have a clear advantage... With the R compound, I agree that it is a driver's race.
