Hey Chris and Jim,
Me Stephen here, I know, back from the dead. No, actually I have worked the most I have ever worked in my life these last 5 months. I had every intention on making all of the last autocrosses but I was always somewhere overseas working. I should be back in town around the 15th of this month which means I will miss another autocross on the 11th.
I want to apologize to you Chris for not calling you after I asked you to put together that grounding kit for me. I still want it but understand of you don't have it anymore. I do plan on calling you when I get back in town to catch up and see your beautiful beast. I here she is quite quick. I have been contemplating on getting Vishnu's new Stage 2 that he is offering using APT's set-up. Anyway it would be nice to talk shop and slam back a few beers with a few fellow enthusiasts.
I was thinking about maybe making the PCA event at NPR. Do any of you out there think you will be able to make it. I good friend of mine (JD) that lives in Lafayette also just purchased a Silver 03' SVT Cobra. He mentioned that he wanted to start autocrossing and attending a few track days so I am going to try and get him to come with.
Anyway, good luck to you guys on the 11th.
Have a good time
Stephen

I ran the Ambassador Caffery Swamp Rally this weekend rather than the auto-x. I think that Auto-X costs a lot less in parts....
In other words I wrecked sunday on my was the to the auto-x on ambassador going over the railroad tracks... you know the bridge by McDonnalds headed to I-10 it is straight going up and then truns left at the top... Well at 120+ I caught too much air at the top and landed at an angle... and things went down hill from there... literally. I was in a power slide going down the bridge to keep my car off the gaurd rail and then the front caught traction and I went off into that swampy field to the right. Yeh, that nasty mud/swamp/*** smellin field. I went a good 100 yards back up in there... fired the monster up and blasted my way out. Volunteer (Larry) was foollowing me so he got a good show.
I was supprised at how little damage was done. Dr side front fender bowed out. Just loosened the bolts and fixed. Lost one of the under panels (under the oil cooler), striped out a bumber bolt at the pass fender attachment be pass headligh, and both wheel well skirts we torn apart (from a massive rush of mud and water at 120 mph.
All I can do is laugh... I have attached pics of the car and where I went. You should see the marks on the road!!!! Oh, yeh I detailed it the night before and was wiping it down 15 minutes earlier.

What in the hell were you doing? You are so lucky. That concrete wall would have done alot of damage had you hit it. The Ambasseder Caffery Swamp Rally Huh! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. You are so lucky. Boy will be boys. In 2000 I had just bought an S2000 and was driving with a friend to New Orleans to participate in an autocross at the Zephyrs stadium(I think). Needless to say I was driving about 90mph on I-10 in the rain, when my buddy decided to ask a question about the S-02's (tires) on the car. Not 30 seconds after I just got explaining to him that the tires where awsome and don't have any hydroplaning tendencies what so ever, we hit a 3" puddle of water streaming across the fast lane that sent us spinning into the median. After 7 spins and keeping my foot to the floor i was able to get back on I-10 going the other direction. At the next exit we pulled over to asses the damage. Luckily, no damage what so ever, but my car looked alot like your car full of grass and mud. Needless to say we proceeded on our journey and I decided to just spectate that day knowiing that I had just gotten away with one and didn't want to tempt fate anymore.
Well Chris, even though you have a little damage, YOU GOT AWAY WITH ONE.
Take Care or stay way from overpasses
