North Carolina Dynoflash Interest??

I was wondering if any Evo owners in North Carolina would be interested in setting up a Dynoflash trip to our area. I think we would need to get at least 5 people committed to get him to make the trip down. I know of myself and 1 or 2 others that would be interested in it. The cost is $200 for a mail in flash and like $399 for a custom road tune.

Post up if you may be interested.

Brian

I am 100% in. I tries this before and it flopped b/c there was no firm commitments made. I would definitely love to get a "bench flash" like Fireball TTM, especially since it's a $99.00 dollar upgrade for previously flashed customers and it promises 20 to the wheels

Looks like we have four of us that want it done so far, not counting the 2 other guys that have told me they are IN also. It looks like from the Atlanta pricing that he has posted, the cost is $399 for 2 hours off road tuning for new customers and $299 for 2 hours of road tuning for current Dynoflash customers. Others who just may want a mail in flash can get it for $200 and save the shipping costs and not have to be without the car for 2 days. I think we can make this happen. Hopefully Al, will see this post and reply, if not, we can contact him once we get some more feedback. If you know anyone who doesnt post on here much, tell them about it and tell them to post up if interested too.

Brian-

I'm gonna shoot you a PM but wanted to post in general that those who are interested should refer to the post on this topic in the DynoFlash forum. Al needs 5 people who will do a "custom" tune and he'll be in NC once commitments are firm.

Nah... I'm sticking it out with the oem ecu. My goal is to make slightly over 300 whp with just "BPU's." Everyone seems to stray away from this path with piggybacks, stand alone's, internals, etc.. Yes those kind of mods are worth every penny but no a part of my approach.

With Als' tune, I should be near 290 whp (as my mods stand now). This is with stock internals (no cams, etc.) and catalytic converter - mind you. I can make 300 whp when I mix Toluene with 93 octane...

My remaining modifications will include:
1) http://www.airborncoatings.com/homepage.html (ceramic coating of my exhaust manifold) Right outside of Charlotte... This will greatly reduce 1st gear bog.
2) http://www.eastwoodcompany.com/shopp...keyword=10396z (coating of the manifold heat shield).
There's alot of power to be "harnessed" in the Evo that is wasted on "heat soak," or thermal inefficiency in general...
Heat is the "enemy" in all respects save wanting it's presence in the exhaust system (w/in reasonable EGT's) in order to make more power (torque).

And when I need it:
3) ACT clutch
4) FMIC

November 19th and 20th sounds good to me. I have one other Evo confirmed for a TTM flash. His car isn't running right now, so he can't get the custom tune. He needs to get a new transfer case and then he will be up and ready to go.

BTW, people can get the mail in flash done during this time if they don't want to spend the money for the custom flash. When we get the 5 needed, I am ready to send the $100 deposit.

Kwman where are you??? How about Dave, is Nov 19th or 20th good for you??

Damn, offer sounds tempting but I've heard too many negative things about Al and his Flash.
