HELP!!! Is there a shop in miami that will install a clutch&pressureplate (on an EVO8) for under $600?
Other than Dynamic turbo ($500) or speed shop.

Ive called Twilight, Speed injected, TSR , Word wide racing, SFP , 2 shops tied at $650 with flywheel resurface,

Maybe $600 with resurface included? or under even better

Any suggestions? I need to install the clutch before Nopi Nats but i dont want to get Raped with the price lol. the worst thing is i dropped my GST tranny 3 times in my backyard, about to give it a shot on the evo, but tryin to avoid it.. Thanks in advanced.

You should post this on the info thread. But to answer your question the prices you've recieved are fair. Make sure that a new release bearing is included in the price of the install. You wont get under 600 with a new release bearing and a resurfacing.

 

Release bearing comes with the ACT kit, release bearing is a 20 second install after tranny is down so $600 is the average price on the work huh? Ouchh

Dynamic turbo is charging $500 for the job, but ive heard some weird stories
so i'm trying to find a shop with real evo experience ..

 

Thats the average. If you got the ACT kit then your fine. Some kits dont come with the bearing and it has to be bought seperately. I had my exedy twin put it and everywhere I went it was anywhere from 600-650.

Trini Sport Racing is good. Everytime I go out there I see atleast 2 or 3 evos in the shop. As a matter of fact I was there this saturday and a clutch job was being done. Ask DR. MR he had his clutch done there and they are quick and reasonable with the pricing. I wouldnt go with dynamic. Everyone seems to have stories and stories are not good.

 

There are three things you are looking for Quality, Price, and turnaround time so let me clear this up for you, you can have 2 out of 3:

If it's good and cheap, it won't be soon...
If it's fast and cheap, it won't be good...
If it's good and fast, it won't be cheap...

I always go for quality and turnaround time. Price is usually secondary.

 

Yes i keep hearing good things about Trini sports ive only done work at Speed injected in the past (Wrightouch) , And so far both shops gave me the same price, lol how about someone beats eachothers price so i get a breakk Someone talk to trini and help me out on this ....
