Good Story

I'm on my way to the West Palm Beach District HQ for a training on Thursday morning. I stop in at a Mickey D's for some coffee and on the way out the door some kid in the back of a pickup says "Hey man, that car is sick (Siq). Is it an MR?"

I reply "Thanks, and no it's just a straight VIII".

Then the guy in the front seat asks, "Is it fast?".

To which I reply "Yes."

The guy in the front then says "You ain't that fast."

So I reply "When is the last time you hit 130 in that pickup." It takes him a few seconds to come up with his witty reply of..."Oh yeah, when did you?"

My reply "Last Sunday on the way to Moroso." to this statement the kid in the back starts cracking up.

BTW if you stay off the boost, these cars get decent mileage. Last week Wednesday I filled up at Marina Mile Blvd SR 84 then went home via the Turnpike. The next morning I went to the WPB District HQ and back home again and I had more than 1/4 tank (Edit: I meant 1/4, I used 3/4 tank) left when I got home. I'll post up the miles at the next fill-up

 

No way. Once I take it, it belongs to me.. Another score for my long list...

 

Well I took up my car up to gainsville and had to fill up twice on the way up there but I was boosting a lot of the time...

Good news though I got my IX to 160mph on the dot coming home from the hard rock last night.=)

Cool, I myself have never been over 142 or 143ish. I shut it down after a STi got scared. Just make sure you got plenty of room and no traffic.

 

i'm told i'll reach those speeds legally next weekend on track, we shall see.

Yea my record before this was 145. Yea i had all kinds of room, it was about 3 am and i started punching it while getting on the on ramp. I think its like a 3 or 4 lane highway and there was no traffic at all. I honestly think it could of gone a little more but 160 was more then enough for me.

Nope, the morning sucks... but I'm just waiting to get home and watch Heroes - Save the cheerleader, save the world!!! After that it will get better.
