Just found out the new leg will not have any Carbon on the socket, It's going to use a new lightweight polycarbonate or some such but the ankle joint will be Heavy duty 2 inch thick carbon fiber plates curved to provide some type of springing action. The polycarbonate could be transparent though... I have to see what I can do. Also my stump will be encased in gel for a superior cusioning effect. this new tech is interesting stuff.

 

Sounds good... But can we not race the whole 1/8 th mile? This Suzuki has no top end. Like nothing over 30 mph... 0-30 Rocks!!!

Nope, the Suzuki was parked right outside the house when I went to see him on Xmas Eve. It rides nice and the new owner of Dax is a very nice, she at least went to a good home!

I can't afford a second car for me and I cannot afford to drive Dax to Ft Lauderdale everyday. Plus Ana got a new Job so she has to commute in Miami and I have to go to Broward, and at times to WPB so I needed something more economical. The simple fact is that we do what we have to not what we want to. Alas poor Dax, I knew her well. (Not that well PRVRT!)

Besides. I'll just get a X when I move up to North Carolina...

 

The car was paid off but the debt was transferred to the equity line on the house so the "debt" is still there.

 

Actually the Gel insert will make it a little heavier but a LOT more comfortable.
