update on the rims: rims are on, did not take any pics because of the crappy weather, had no time to snap pics sorry.....they came out good imo, next time i would rather use rim paint though. 1 rim got a bit messed up on 1 spoke, then putting them on 1 had the paint come off around the lug nuts...touch up paint will clear that up

Hey ladies... Just curious if anyone local Tunes ECUs? I hkeep hearing it helps a lot. Also that if I get it tuned I can finally use my HKS RS Intake.

My friend that tunes keeps telling me to get a Power FC. But i guess it depends how much a Tuned ECU costs. Any ideas? Is it really worth it? Is it Warrenty voiding?

He said if I get a MBC, Power FC and Cam gears he can make the same power at less boost and get better gas mileage. But I know Cam Gears will pwn warrenty.

Any help would be spectacular.

yes when you tune you do get more hp and less or the same gas mileage.

I put down 342 whp and still get 22 mpg!

And some dealers will void it even with just a Intake and mbc

 

How about a cat back only? Will the Tune make a difference then? The dealer will Warrenty Cat Backs right?
Anyone want to buy a HKS RS Intake? Brand new 200mm Filter!?

 

I have heard they will void anything on the car.... Im trying to get a new filter for my HKS.. it messes with the MAF sensor to much

Tune makes a huge difference, Evo comes tuned rich naturally for the boost happy yanks... lean her out with a catback will make a difference. WIth the intake you will get maybe 2-5hp from increased a/f flow, a lot of people just get a better filter and run the stock unit. Many ricer evo's(like myself) like to hear the whooosh sound lol

I tune, I can give you tips on tuning, I wouldn't get a powe FC...ECU is good as is and responds well to flashes.

warranty, you can always flash back to stock if you need warranty work...and if it's something major, you can always put her back to stock...installing a catback takes about 1.5hrs if you're drinking...

Ill probally get a K&N Drop in.

 

Just get a wideband band, do some 3rd gear pulls and change settings were you need it to get the most power.. A/f to timing..

 

Purchase a tactrix cable, download your rom...I can modify it for you..you upload the rom. Best thing to do is get her dyno tuned. Power FC is great on an eclipse
