question 'EGT gauge':
a friend was telling me that the EGT should help determine if im running rich or lean... kindof like A/F... can any of you enlighten me with some knowledge?

Why don't you just get an wideband A/F gauge? EGT is alright but there are more useful gauges to have first...boost, oil pressure, & water temperature in addition wideband.

Edit: yes an EGT gauge can help determine lean/rich conditions but it is an antiquated method...just get an wideband A/F gauge.

i has boost and op. i was thinking on going teh meth route... thats why...
but it looks like i might have to wait a bit longer, so thats why i askd...

my egt gauge is backorderd so im thinking of switching it for a wideband

^ get credit for it and get a wideband, don't purchase the widebands reg gauges offer. Get something like aem, innovative, zt ect. Not like a prosport a/f gauge
