crap i keep forgetting u have a 8. i think they are the same anyway but the 9 cover has the "mivec" on it .everything else should be the same though. if you dont want the mivec crap
we can always just pull yours and do it though. takes no time to clean, paint and dry i took all day with mine just because i was doing crap inbetween. carb cleaner, wipe down get the corners and then paint then clear.i use a semi gloss black 5 coats 3 coats of clear then (didnt like how flat it was so put 2 more coats of paint on top,lol. its on my kitchen table now chillin.lol

I'm getting my dump on weds i think. Won't be hearing it till my clutch is installed and broken in. Lets say another 3 weeks. Car should be kinda fast...oh, and headstuds too

I was told it get locked at high rpms and the only flywheel that works good w it is the gruppe-s one.

Did brad look like he got locked out? Same clutch..he revs to around 7300 and change i believe. That was/is my only fear with AcT. THis is a different setup than usual.

there are plenty of threads on evom regarding diff widebands, type in the name on the search engine and read as much as u can.

as for the showing off, i was just trying to get on the highway and didnt realize the entrance was right frigging there at the light. i was in the complete wrong lane so had to just get across. that on ramp is kinda slippery i was moving a bit quickly top of 3rd when the corner locked out, so i braked into it and got the whole car to slide. it must have been wiggling since i didnt feel the back end come loose or hear it squeal but the streering wheel went neutral and the car straightend itself out as i rolled back on the throttle with just a little opposite lock was fun though. u should have heard the dump open the whole time,lol next time u can get a close up listen,lol thanks again for the rad. its very nice, sitting with my valvecover and gauge pod,relocation kit on my kitchen table.
1-2 shift at 8k
2-3 shift at 7.9 or 8k
3-4 shift at 8k
havent gone full out 4-5 yet im usually moving pretty quickly by then

what i do notice is, if i hit the limiter by accident 2-3 it has locked me out a few times. not every time but a few times( i do have bad synchros in third too though, mike is working on that,lol). but sometimes i do hit the limiter in any gear and it shifts fine as always. i think i need to put my new clutch line in (procrastination wins again
