Help! Good evo shop in or around Charlotte NC

Hey guys,

I just moved to Charlotte, NC from Northern Va (D.C. area). I have no idea where good shops there are around my area. I have a wierd ticking noise coming from my engine (thinking its from my lifters, but i'm no mechanic). I would like to get a pro's opinion and some help.

so if someone could help me out.

Also I havent seen many good cars around here!! where do all you guys hang out? Anytime there is a get together or track meet somebody drop me a line please!!!

Chris

Sorry, I can't help you in the Charlotte area...everytime I go there it never seems to have decent shops. If you ever get to raleigh I can help you out.

try CP racing, they are building a 2.3, gt35r evo right now.

Their website is www.cprace.com

As far as hangouts go, on saturdays a lot of people meet up in the Stonecrest shopping center. Take 485 to Rea Rd, exit 59 and take a right, the shopping center is right there on your right, cant miss it. there is always a decent amount of cars hanging out. Also CP racing does dyno nights about every other month which is always a good turn out and a lot of fun. I'll try to meet up with you next time I come back to Charlotte, I am in Wilmington right now for school but am coming back on the 27th. Hope all this helps!

Scott

unfortunately no, i think they are investing in one though. They do have an AEM certified tuner though and if they need to tune it on an awd dyno there is one in mooresville.

Try Abbott's Auto Care in Columbia SC . Their prices are way better than anybody elses prices . They only do installs , no tuning or dyno . You will save a ****load of money . Yes they are Mitsu certified . 803 356 8851 ask for Billy Or Rob .

Yeah thats brian's EVO.
It finaly died so they are Rebuilding it AGAIN.

P1 auto (right outside over the border inot S.C = Johnston Rd) is the only guys I would trust w/ my ITR...though they mainly work on Honda's but are Dist's for TEIN,TODA, etc etc.
I work @ lexus in Charlotte and have Tech's a' plenty even a 13yr Mitsu tech there so I'm good.

damn I wish CP had AWD dyno...but Dyno night is pretty cool.
AWD dyno is in Moorseville though
