My wife grew up there and her family still lives there! Some people call it ACTIONVILLE, but it really kinda sucks! Maybe if it's just being a civilian sucks! Matter of fact once you get there be sure to stay off of Piney Green Road! unless you happen to live off base down that way! Not sure if you are getting a house, staying on base, or trying to rent an apartment! Anyway, yeah there ain't much to do, but strip clubs, heading out to the beach, clubbin, going out to play pool, or wingin it and making up stuff to do! oh yeah and just to warn you, STAY OFF WESTERN BLVD and WESTERN EXTENSION on Paydays and some 96s!!!! We heading out that way this weekend to see her parents too! SO if anybody sees a yellow and blue Lancer, don't act like some Marines and try to race me! I guarntee you with the BABY ONBOARD SIGN in my window, there will be none of that!! Later! And good luck with your move!!!

we are trying to stay on base since its a area we dont know and we had some bad experiences here in Pensacola when we lived out in town and the way it seems that Jacksonville and Pensacola are just as exciting cause there is nothing to do here either

 

I am from there. I live in Virginia Beach now. It definitely isn't like FL. Probably not a lot of EVO's or car clubs for that matter. Lots of hicks and rednecks. "We like V8's" mentality. Hopefully, u can adjust and try and have a good time. Beach is about the only good thing there. Wilmington is the next descent town. About 45 miles south on Hwy 17. Raleigh might be the closest place for EVO's and car club's... .

 

yea Im leaving behind a lager evo/lancer group of about 18+ evos and a hand full of regular lancers but when I got here there was just 2 evos

^Jacksonville isn't too bad, theres more to do here in Wilmington to be honest, but in any case there still isn't all that much.

 

I leave here friday when I get off work so Ill be up there sometime saturday to check out places and see about getting a job lined up. We are gonna be there for about a week checking out the area so Im kinda excited to go check it out.

 

Alright well I just got back from spending a week up there looking for a place and we will be living in Hubert got a nice little 3bedroom 2 bath with a 2 car garage to rent. Jacksonville wasnt as bad as I thought but I could be spread out more since everything seems to be on Western. Seen a white evo the day before we left. Also seen a regular lancer with a bodykit and rims and i seen a couple lancers on base with rims.

 

we moving in about a month and im getting kinda excited (i really like the house we got) so far im not having any luck looking for a job but i hope it changes soon

Does anyone know of a Red EVO RS that wants to swap trunks for a Red EVO 8 trunk with Carbon Fiber Wing? I'm trying to get rid of it without getting it welded and repainted..let me know..thanks.

There are quite a few Evo's in J-ville. I haven't seen a red one in a while but back in 03-04 most of the ones they sold here were red. Not all of them are on this forum either. The dragstrip has reopened so that would be the best place to run into them or Western Blvd on Friday and Saturday nights.

 

Sweet....maybe I'll head up there and check it out when I get my car back from Turbo XS Tuning. Need to get rid of that wing....just a change of style. I'll be posting lots of pics of my car and the rest of the 4 Plus Crew (400HP Plus more) so check them out as the days go by. Thanks for the help

 

they must hide well cause we drove all over Jacksonville for a week and only seen one evo but i seen a few lancers on base

 

2 more weeks I cant wait to move but I must find a job when I get there (I hate looking for a job)
