N.C. Evo Club
Yeah alloyic_rs, I go about 5-6 times a year. It starts in April and ends in November (I think), and its the first friday of every month. It's called Freaky Friday. It gets crazy down there some nights. A few Evo's and other imports are always there but mostly V8's. If you've never been, you need to go. It's $10 to get in, $10 to race. If you do choose to race be ready for almost an hour wait inbetween runs.
Well, I was thinking about this and if it does rain there are shelters right near the parking lot where we will meet, so we can hang out under there. The forecast for High Point is rain starting tonight and ending tomorrow around mid-day. So just delay that about 2 1/2 hours before it reaches Cary.
So, it looks as though we are not going to be blessed with great weather, but it should be okay later on in the day.....hopefully.

It will all revolve around the weather. If there is hail the aluminum will never recover. But if it is just a storm we can fire up some hot coals in the shelter and some basic food groups (hot dogs, ground beef) along with soft drinks (park rules) we should be good. I'm going to watch the weather for hail and plan accordingly. Keeping my fingers crossed.
is 10:00 am still the time?

Doesn't look like the weather is supposed to be severe, just some thunder showers....yeah, no need to wash the car...although I am a little pissed about the weather still.
10:00 am is still the meeting time.

Yeah, we're in a huge drought and it decides to wait until saturday to rain. Might get out there with a sponge while its raining and wash mine. It used to be Tarmac Black, now it's tarmac grayish.
Yeh mine is black with yellow spots from pollen lol....and i have a garage, i can't imagine how it would be parked outside. I might wash it in the morning if i can but i was wondering if someone could give me directions from Gorman Street to the park. I sorta forgot how to get there.
PS I might call you in the morning JPLGSX depending on if i wake up on time.
See you guys in the morning

Coming from Gorman St. you just need to get up on the I-40 ramp heading west. Stay on that until you see the Harrison Ave. exit right at SAS Institute. Get off at the ramp and at the top make a right. Follow that and you can not miss the entrance. I hope to be ther.......The weather may hold out until lunch.
