^^ Hmmm, any thoughts to how that happened? WOW. Sounds like major work. You guys in the upstate need to get those cars on the road! These builds sound fantastic.

I suspect that either it was acidently over reved spining the bearing, which caust the piston to rise higher in the bore, which then caused the pistion to strike the valves.

It is odd, because last year I spun the excat same bearing, #3. That seems to be the most problemactic cylinder in our engines. I think it has more than 75% of the failures associated with our engines.

All I have to do now is purchase a set of 1000cc injectors, hafe manifold and housing, and a lil bit of ss oil return line and I am done. Oh, and get Sam's old tune and have touring bubble (from sevo.com) modify it for my break in time.

Sounds like you're ready to rock and roll. I've heard that the #3 is the one that will most likely give you problems.

It wasn't an over rev.

My theory is rod knock, from a bad bad bout of detonation, brought out by the stress at the time of the failure

Just finished ordering my hafe manifold, o2 housing, o2 sensor, and injectors!

Hey sam, can you email me a copy of your old tune?

and does anyone arround have a 3in downpipe they are willing to part with?
