I always run slower when they run a lot. you just need a tune. you are killing me... they probably wont be done till tomorrow, i've lost all hope of ever seeing it again lol. but yes you should be in the lower to mid 12's, i was in my viii on less mods then you have, however, i was tuned so that makes a big difference. you should have matt pull your stock map and email it to al with the 50 for the eflash, even if its just for a little while until you get your kit installed, you will have that 3 weeks of amazement, which will last for months after you get to ams

u know, hes does pretty good work. the thing that irritated me was when i asked for a race map for friday's event and he asked me to send him my map(i know damn well he has it because he custom tuned mine) and he could'nt just email a race map to me, then send him the money.

i understand what the response would be to this, "if i do it for you then everyone else would expect that too." i'm not sponsored by al either, but i refer ALOT of evo owners his way, even when i suggested the e-flash to you cirrusly evolved, and he would'nt even help me out when i needed his services the most at the last minute. i was very very busy with school, work, picking up the boys from daycare, out helping other locals with their cars, my bike dyno and tuning business, etc. and it would've been nice come home friday at 6pm and saw a race map in my email, then would've sent the money asap via paypal.

worrying about $50 from a long term customer? hell, i still had local bike club members who didnt have the right amount of cash come tuning day at the track event and within a week they called and dropped off the rest. CUSTOMER SERVICE goes a long way when it comes to having your own business and getting referals from customers you've taken care of in more ways than one.

i suggested the location at south of the border for the NC/SC tuning trip in may? and i even offered to help setup any other accomdations Al needed when he was coming down. Warrtalon, i guess, handles everything when it comes to that i suppose because i never got a response from al after i offered to help out. not to mention, we got the trip cancelled by Warrtalon, or AL, and AL decided to go to colorado instead. we STILL got together and still gave him our business after he rescheduled it for a later date. i hear alot of negatives about Al and for some reason i still refer people to him. i hear alot of great things about jester and havent referred anyone to him. sometimes it takes awhile for things to sink in but after awhile it all adds up and starts to make sense.

i've been irritated about that since friday and i'm goin to figure out things through others from now on and learn myself. i know others are anxious for me to try and learn it myself and start tuning but i never had any motivation to learn to tune cars until last week. i found a well known tuner in raleigh, tunes drag cars and american muscle cars, that is more than willing to show me the ropes and said all i had to do was find tuning software for our cars and he'll show me the ropes FREE OF CHARGE! we'll see what happens after this next deployment when i get back.

 

Sounds good man, I'd love to learn some of that stuff too so I don't have to run up to Chicago everytime I make a change!

 

Are you serious? They have been working on your clutch install since last Wednesday... You should have let us do it for you and you would already be breaking it in.

Its a pretty hard job if you have never done one before.

i got it yesterday afternoon and aside from the fact they didnt konw the acd reservoir was seperate from the tranny, everything seems to be in working order... so a quick fill and she is happy or so it seems for now.... just have to install this front mount, modify the UICP and get my tune and she is done for a long time... oh and install the hood dampers but that shouldnt do to much.... i do think i cut some weight though after swapping seats... not enough to make too much of a difference... but some

 

I hope they bleed the ACD system. Cause and inexperienced installer would break the ACD hydraulic line loose on top of the transfer case and then it would need to be bleed to work correctly.

it was really low... we filled it, drove it about a 1/4 mile came back and it was about half full, so we filled it to the line and i drove it around for a bit and it stayed at its point... then drove it to school back to my house and still the same, i think everything is good with it (knock on wood)

I have an ACT kit and flywheel just sitting collecting dust waiting to be installed. I need to do the install asap because the car is my dd and my clutch is on its last leg.

 

if you PM superscout he said there is a place a little more local that will do it for 350. said they have installed clutches on 3 or 4 evo's ... PM and see if he can link you up.... otherwise, turbodawg would be the next choice just because of distance

its all good. u need to make it out to the track with us sometime. this is my last weekend for JM course then it'll be freaky friday on the 4 aug. , and the fox hunt at the rock on the 5th of aug. back to back days of events.

 

i was supposed to be in that class with you......was supposed to be there july something. they made me go get my 90-day card but they cant make me do the course.........screw em gettin out soon
