Looking for Magazine Worthy Cars

Alright...before I open the flood gates here, we are lookig for truley magazine worthy cars. Think long and hard about this before coming forward. If your car is to the level of being a feature car, and you could make a trip to the Tampa area, there is a chance we can get it in a magazine, but no garuntees. The date would be set if we can come up with several cars.

What makes a car worthy? Doesnt need to fit all of these necessarily, but at least most.

If you feel after reading this, that your car meets the grade, post a picture and brief description of what makes yours special. If we can get a shoot for it, and you can make the trip, the only thing we ask is that you run an EvolutionM.net banner.

              Here is a link.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=213707 It is going thru a metamorphesis over the winter, caged/50 trim, BRIGHT color, so when, if selected, is the photoshoot? I have a photographer in tow (who took these photos) You don't want me topless laying on the hood do you? If you want the car, and if it's worth my while, I might come down.

I might be interested. Is there any way we could hire a local photographer for these pictures? Or even have the photographer fly up? It would be much easier for some cars that are distances away than making a 20+ hour round trip drive. I will post up about the car at a later time.

Charles, maybe we need to know what we are "applying for" as far as magazine. how 'bout sharing that with us. it is kinda "vauge" above, we are adults, and can handle it.

Well these are all great looking cars, for the mags, there are going to require more exterior mods. Exceptions to this include when the car makes some utterly rediculous amount of power or are otherwise modified in some extreme way...like heavy(very heavy) road course prep.

I have an ARP splitter, and could put another wing up front if that would help.

I know this is all good, and I am sure we can all give you what you/they are looking for, but an important question for some us might be:

              When will this take place?

I know nothing is guarenteed of placement in the magazine, but a "general" time frame might narrow down the "entrants", or give you more.

My car is undergoing a metamorphasis, starting in November and ending in March. My car will NOT look like it does now. If this is within the time you plan on puting something together, and you/they like my car, maybe I better withdraw my "entry". so I guess back to the original question, ballpark when you need a car for this shoot? Thanks.

Well I will tell you how it works. When I have at least 4 cars that are of high magazine quality(the best of the best), I email my contact with a list of cars and pictures. He then schedules a trip to FL to shoot these cars and gerenally other cars in FL. I never have any idea of time till I have a collection of cars, but generally within two months. I have already done this several times with about 15+ cars including 4 of my own. About 75 percent have been published. I already have at least one car in the area that is set. If this round works out, we may be able to do this on a larger scale and in numerous locations helping gain both or members and evoM exposure.

As far as more "exterior" mods, do you mean more spoiler types? Splitters? vortex generators? widebody kits? maybe I am just thinking too deep into this...........

I dont want to put too many restrictions on this, but i can say pretty definitively if you have all stock body, its not going to happen. The wilder, the better to a point. For example, a well roadned car with lots of nice work and a full HRS/voltex kit would have a great chance. That is not to say that a super clean evo with less exterior mods would not have a chance though, but it has to have some cool ones. Also, car modified in an innovative way are great. For example, my miata was featured in SCC. It looked very mild on the exterior, but it had a Nissan SR20DET motor. On the other hand, My 240sx just had attention to all areas equally and was very clean. Look at the evos that make it into Modified, SCC, Super Street, Turbo, etc for examples of the past. I KNOW there are plenty of magazine worthy cars in here, many of which have already been featured. Its just a matter of finding them. It also never hurts to have some good background story.

On a seperate note, we may be ramping up featured cars for our website with full feature articles. For those, we wont require cars as extreme. I will make a post about that when it is closer
