Please let me know if anyone in the area is interested in a reflash for their Evos.....it will be done by Lance from Toyomoto, a reputable south florida tuner, but i am trying to get a few of us together so we can do it the same day. we are not sure what shop he will be doing it out of, but as we see more interest with people then we can set a date and place.

I would suggest putting up his credentials just in case any first time Evo owners might not know him. Let people know who he is before they get the flash. I asked around a lot before I let Jestr touch my car. If not he would not have gotten near it. People want reassurance.

Lance was the owner of Toyomoto. He is one of the best AEM tuners in the states and maybe other places....hes worked on tons of supras, SCs, IS300 and worked with Haltech, Hondata, AEM, etc....used to be in the drag racing scene with his 9 second Civic. If you need more info or credentials about Lance, just call around shops in the area and Im sure they can tell you some things about him.

I heard of Lance but only with Toyo/lexus tunning. Last I heard he shut down shop back when I had my IS300 and they never picked up there phones (terrible customer service). Like I said this is what I heard but I never got somone to pick up there phone when ever I called or even reply to there e-mails at toyomoto. I'm just curious why you would want him to tune your Mistu instead of having Jestr who's known for tunning EVO's. Next month I plan on getting my car tuned but I don't know if I would be down to let someone outside of a Evo expert tune my car. Maybe if I see any results he's done on evo's.

 

I will say that I did hear good things about his tunning with toyo/lexus. He's made alot of power.

Why? I mean this is how I look at it....once you can tune with one type of standalone, whether its Haltech, AEM, Hondata, etc....then I think you can pretty much tune anything. Lance has proven in the race scene and Supra scene that he knows what hes doing. He has tuned a number of Evos already by flashes and AEM. And last, I trust Lance because he knows what hes doing, and he has tuned my other car, and I have seen him tune many cars and I just prefer his type of tuning (I guess you can say).

 

I don't dought his tunning skills. I heard he's great at what he does with toyo/lexus and you can ask around and I think everyone would agree. My only thing is the same peopel you ask all will say the same. Poor customer service, doesn't answer or return calls or e-mails.

 

well when you are one guy in one shop its kinda difficult to do all those things and at the same time finish customer cars and projects AND tune. but i understand where you all are coming from. i just dont get mad at that when it comes to him cuz i know how busy he is and i have the patience to wait for him. as i said, hes the only one that touches any of my cars.

but if anyone is interested in getting a tune from him please let me know

Lance is one of the best haltech and Tec II and III tuners Ive heard of. From what I understand he used to build some fast cars too. Has he been reflashing evos lately?

 

This is not a lance vs. jestr thread. So please do not turn it into one.

This thread was prematurely created and should be closed down. It is going no where good and fast. A fellow evo owner may be lucky enough to get a tune by Lance and should be happy. Then in return stay off the keyboard.

Jester is a pretty good tuner who has tuned countless EVO's, especially on this forum. I have only heard good things about him. I am pretty sure that he is as good as most will account for. I've also seen him in action.

Toyomoto is no longer in existance. Lance is a great tuner and has had a great track record over the years.
If you need proof. Search is your friend.

Fynetune, a local shop which most of you have already visited or heard about has the ability to do flashes as well. They are a great shop and can assist all south florida EVO owners with all hardware and software upgrades.

p.s. Lance ran 8 seconds.
