Night runs are going to have the lightest coverage from the fuzz. I've had several friends go up there after 10pm without having any trouble. I would still practice caution just incase they don't let up coverage, especially on the weekends.

 

We're still planning on a run in the 1st week of November. Arrive Wednesday eve & drive Thursday & Friday, & Sat, heading back Saturday Eve or Sunday morning . From my past experience, I wouldn't plan on much spirited driving on the Dragon on the weekend, too much traffic. The Cherohala and surrounding roads will suffice.
