At Steele Dragstrip they are having an Import faceOff, race and car show this Sunday 20th. Starts at 10am for competition drag racing and the show starts at 11am til 6pm....I might go anybody else?

It was a GREAT event; I really enjoyed it. I'm the one with the Black Evo IX MR SE in case anyone was there.

 

I've got pics I'll post up tomorrow...that older DSM...eclipse running in the Street tire heads up was Awesome..ran a 9.5...like wow...me..RR MR and my Buddees both GG MR/SE were having a blast I even won my Bracket and took home some $$...check back for pics...zenman W/F ?

 

If you're in the red evo, were you the one with the trailer? Your friend's GG was fast too. Yeah that Eclipse was FAAAST. Ran as fast as the motorcycles. I used to have an MR2 and was impressed with the MR2 there too.

I came with the group from Dyno4mance, based in Calhoun, GA. They are a GREAT bunch of people. My friend owns a red Evo. Hope we can all get together in the next similar event.

Looking forward to the pics; I saw a few people taking pics of my car -- surprising because there were so many great looking cars there. I'll PM you with my contacts.

I had the red Evo behind the green F250. Street class was fast. I ran a 12.0 and didnt qualify.

 

12 is also respectable. I could only WISH my MR can do that! Do you usually go to these types of events. If so, we might all want to meet up -- kind of nice to have all the Evos together.

 

I didnt do anymore test and tune runs because it took all 3 of us to try and keep the 9.50 eclipse running all day. Still blew the waterpump in the staging lanes for the final.

I go to about 4 of these events a year, if I have a car. Im in the car business and someone inevitably wants my hot rods just about the time I get them where I like them. Im up for some meets.

yea the 9.5 second DSM was a handful. He semed to leave slow but midtrack it caught on fire...must have a big turbo...lag?

Yea I'd be up for some events....for the local guys alabama/birmingham there is a shootout next weekend at Bamadrag strip, my buds and I are prob gonna go...interested let me know for details..
