OK, I went to the Road Atlanta web page and I see that this weekend there is a SCCA Regional event. I did not see what exactly this event consists of.
Somebody posted earlier about a driving opportunity at Road Atlanta, but I could not find any such informatio.... What exactly is the SCCA regional event about? I'd guess there will be races, etc. Will there also be a chance to do some laps? That would be awesome!

So... what's going on Sat & Sun?

Good idea anyway, I'm still unsure of my schedule though. If some of us make it, how do we arrange to meet?...

The dyno day looks pretty dim..... First, I could not really get much from the people there (the last time they put me on hold and finally disconnected). They did quote a price for dyno tuning the SAFC2....
$50 O2 bung (OK, no problem)
$50 set up (??)
$150 per hour (2 hour estimate!)

Anyway, that's $400 and I could not even talk appointment...
The last thing the guy said was "we were going to be at Team Mitsubishi this saturday, excuse me a minute............. click"
Team Misubishi is listed in the directory as the dealer in Lithia Springs (?) I called and was put on indefinite hold too.....

I've got an idea, lets all get EGT gauges installed and do some data logging. Then we can tune our SAFCs for safe operation and then go to the dragstrip to get some ETs and trap speeds. We can easily calculate horsepower and even torque from those numbers. It'll come out to a similar cost and we get to keep the gauges, learn something and have some fun at the dragstrip.....

 

Was that knowledge performance in Woodstock?

Yes, it was Knowledge Performance. They are as easy to talk with as their website is to navigate

That is too bad that Knowledge was like that. I have driven with one of the owners when I owned an RSX. He owns a type S. He has flamed my RSX a few times. The worst was for the Koni yellow shocks/struts I had on the car. He talked badly about them, after he sold them to me. Kind of bothered me.

Anyways, I checked out the Road Atlanta website and could not find the start time for the event. I would be up for meeting there around 11, or if there is a place in northern Atlanta people would like to meet and roll up there together that would be cool, if not meeting there is fine.

 

Ok, I have passed a silver Evo going the opposite direction THREE times this week. Always on the same street. South Cobb in front of Lockheed. We always flash lights. Anyone here?
