I just got an Evo. I have wanted one for a while and finally they brought it to the states. About time.
Anyways, looking to see if there are any others out there.
I used to drive an RSX, and still do things with RSX drivers. We do mountain runs, autocross events, and hopefully a driving school at Road Atlanta in the fall. Along with the usual modifications.
Though I am going to leave my Evo stock for a while. I have modded my last three cars and need a break.
Looking to see if there any Evo drivers who want to get together.

 

I am in atlanta as well, going to the BMWCCA School next month and in Sept. About 1 driving school each month. Doing pads and all of the mods the Vishnu sells, Have to keep up with the Supercharged NSX's hehehe.

Got www.google.com and look for Peachstate BMWCCA as well as AL BMW club. The BMW deal is about 425, and 2 days the Road Atlanta deal is 2 days and 350 I think. Lots of fun and the EVO does well. Getting some different pads as well as the break ducts before the track event.

 

I am also in the Atlanta area I live near Gwinnett Tech. I know of two other others that live in Atlanta area. Would not mind getting together. Let me know, you can shoot me an E-mail just PM me

 

I live in Athens, Ga, attending UGA, but my parents live in Gwinnett County so I am down there a lot. I drive a rally red evo. Right now I have a SAFC, manual boost controller set at 19psi till red line, intake, boost gauge, air/fuel gauge, and a stereo with all new speakers, a sub, and 2 amps. I would be down with meeting up one weekend, just let me know when.

Great to see people out there.
Road Atlanta sounds good, but what is there to do? If they have a driving event going on that would be cool to watch. I'll check their schedule and see if there is something going on that would be cool to watch along with comparing notes on the cars.
Before doing a track event with my car I will probably add a couple things.
I know of an autocross school they hold at turner field. I have done it in the past with my RSX. It is fun. They hold it on Saturday. It is 1 hour class, then two sessions of driving. It is an all day event and they provide lunch. It was a great time. Cost is 50 bucks. The course they set up is nice. I'll post info on the next class.
Another option is to meet up at a place in Northern Atlanta. I know of a shop in Woodstock area that has a four wheel dyno if anyone is interested and there is a Taco Mac just down the street from it for lunch.

 

Sounds cool let me know when you would like to all meet up.And oh yeah that autox school sounds killer I have been wanting to learn about autoxing and did not know how to get into it. This sounds like the perfect way for me to learn.

I looked into the autocross school and we have a while till the next one, meaning they have not posted it yet.
So the other option is to do a get together to meet everyone.
It looks like everyone is in the northern Atlanta area so we could get together at someplace like Dave and Busters, casual bar/ restaurant......or we could meet at a shop like Knowledge Performance, and talk to Joe about using the dyno (if anyone is interested). I am still looking into the Road Atlanta events. How about next Saturday. I just need feedback if everyone wants to meet at a restaurant or a shop.
Another option is a car show. That would look good to see a few Evos lined up. Regardless of what we do, who is up for next Saturday?

There is an SCCA event. It is two days and the ticket is 15 bucks.
We could meet out there, compare notes on our cars, and watch some racing.

Why watch when you can DRIVE on road atlanta, ya it's not $15.00 but it's a LOT more fun.

 

Today I saw a Blue Evo in Kennesaw on Wade Green Road crossing over I-75. First time I have seen a blue Evo. Nice color. I think this car had a sticker or banner on the windsheild, not sure though....

I have only seen two other Evos around Marietta/Kennesaw. A silver one where I work (no idea whoose it is) and a black one in Woodstock on 92.

 

I say we meet at road atlanta next weekend at the SCCA event on Saturday....How many evo's can we get together ?...start postin'
