Charlotte Area Evo Owners
i tired that already in May but i got a run around and no answer. I emailed you guys about having a dyno day with our own tuner back in may but never got answer back. I even still got the emails saved when i emailed you about the dyno day, got one email back and that was it, I even called left messages and still dint get a response back. Right now i have motionlabtuning taking care of my evo and getting her back on the road and im very happy with them. Good luck in the race
Last of the thread jack have fun guys!

Mad props to Tim (dsm25psi) and Matt (EvoZ) for helping me out.
Just about an hour ago I was driving the Evo in first gear, accelerated to redline, pushed the clutch pedal, shifted to second, BUT the clutch pedal just stayed down on the floor and wouldn't come back up. I grabbed the pedal with my left hand and brought it back up, but now I can only push it in about an inch before getting a lot of resistance. I was barely able to get home in 2nd gear.
I'm 100% sure it's the wedge collar retaining clip that came off. It's simple fix, but the tranny needs to be pulled.
Called Matt and Tim, and my car is being towed to www.motionlabtuning.com here in Charlotte, they should be able to turn it around in a day or so. I talked to Todd at Motion Lab and the guy sounds like he knows his Evos.
To prevent this from happening again, I just ordered the following aftermarket part:
http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co..._fork_stop.htm
I HIGHLY suggest everyone else orders this part, it is CHEAP insurance against the clip coming out again.
As for the meet on the 4th, I'll have to get back to you guys, but seeing how tight of a group we have here in Charlotte, we really need to start hanging out again.

What's this Motionlab place? When I was at Best Buy Metropolitan a week ago I came back to my car in the parking garage with one of their business cards from "Todd Marcellini" on the driver window. went to their website and it looks like they tune asian performance cars..is that the gist of it? About the only money I'ad had lately to put in my car enters in the form of fuel.

Brad is installing the clutch stopper on my car also before we hit the dyno on my car, very good and cheap insurance
. The date now is the 11th just to give little more time for everyone to get some time off if they need too. U know we need u there Steve, you represent three country's at once, lol
Ehhh, wont be putting any money into the car until:
- speeding ticket/attorney
fees paid off- open container (lol serious?) court fee paid off
- after holidays (snowboarding in breckenridge)

- after tax rebate time (FHA $8k w00t)
- not until the car is paid off

which probably means summer/fall 2k10. Then I can put my car payments towards car stuffs and/or autoXing, which I want to start getting into.

What do you guys think about doing something at The Pit on the 11th? I haven't been there yet, but I'm sure some of you have. This time of year though and esp on a friday night I bet they're booked solid. We should do something more than just the meet/dinner.
Cool. Pics?

When the tow truck cam this morning to get it to the repair shop, I damaged the passenger fender and bumper as I was pushing the car out of my garage this morning. The bumper can be fixed, but I need a new fender.
The tow driver was quite patient as he observed me cursing/screaming while I was kicking the garage door frame.
