There usually an import meet every Saturday night up at UNCC. They have permission from the owners to meet there. All kinds of cars are there, from Civics, 240SX, S2000, Supras, etc.

If you guys want, we can all meet there and hang out for a few hours. I think it starts late like around 10pm.

 

What night? This Saturday or next? I'd be down to meet there one night.

 

According to someone who goes there regularly, it happens every Saturday night, so we can try and meet this weekend if anyone wants to.

 

Alright, I'll let you guys know tomorrow if I'll be able to do it. It sounds like it could be possibly a fun meet! I'm off to bed though, I have a class tomorrow at 1:30, so I have to get my sleep.

 

That'll be cool! I went back there a couple weeks ago and was able to go to one of those weekend meets but my cuz wanted to get drunk, and I haven't been to the Charlotte meets in a while so I didn't know where it was at. I ended up staying up at my parents house doing nothing.

 

There's also some word of a meetup in mooresville every tuesday night at the new harris teeter. I know a lot of you guys are currently in south charlotte but once you hop on 77 its not that bad. Guy said two evos already show up...I may attend tues. Sat at uncc all depends on if I get my exhaust and bumper installed before midnight ha

 

Let me get specifics on the UNCC meet like exact location and time, I will post here once I have the info.

Finally after 3 weeks of waiting:

 

Here's the only decent picture I could get of my dyno sheet. I'm pretty happy with that curve. Makes ~475hp for over 1500rpms. I'm excited to see how it'll do now.

Ok, I found out from my buddy that the import meet is usually held every Friday and Saturday night around 10:00pm at the UNION DECK parking building inside the UNCC campus. Here are a few maps that will help with directions:










The green arrow shows where the Harris Teeter is. If you are coming off of I-485 down University City, you want to make a RIGHT turn into University Loop (also called Cameron Blvd) before you see the Harris Teeter on the left. Then head straight up the road for a while until you get to the Union Deck.

I'll probably head up there Saturday night, so if anyone in South Charlotte wants to caravan there together let me know.

Just got my crash beam back today from the welding guy.

Looked great, and he originally quoted me $150, but only charged me $100. Said it didn't take as long as he thought (+1 for honesty). If any of you plan on going JDM and want to keep the crash beam, I thought $100 was well worth it, and I got his business card.

Both times when I gave him the crash beam and when he returned it he was questioning me about my car, very much into it. I tried to convince him to buy one! Even told him if he liked it better without the wing to be a little more conservative a lot of people do it, haha
