New Year, New Team

Disclaimer: This thread was made because a couple of people needed a place where we could be ourselves without censorship. If you have a thin skin or fear you may get "zinged", STAY OUT!!! If you have a sense of humor, welcome.

This year has been very tough on a couple of ex-TEMEVO members. Work schedules, commutes and a variety of other issues have kept us away from our favorite hobby. Well, we are back and ready to enjoy the year. We will be going back to AutoX, carshows and are even planning a road trip or two. Plus October will be the time for my 3d Annual Dragon Pilgrimage. I know a couple of people that already want to tag along.

I am also planning a new website where we can post up schedules and member info. At present the first meeting will be at the Dennys on NW 41st Street. At this meeting we will discuss where we want the new team to go. Meet locations, events, movie nights, or anything else... We will probably be sticking with Monthly meets as the previously scheduled biweekly meets were too much for some people. (This does not mean an impromtu event meet can't be arranged.)

First Meet:
Dennys
11350 NW 41st St
Doral, FL
Saturday, January 19, 2008. 9:00 PM

More to come...

In an effort to make this thread informative to the sophisticated car afficionado here is some late breaking news.

AP and UPI reported today that the French Government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide."

The only two higher levels in France are "Surrender" and "Collaborate."

The heightened alert status was precipitated by the recent fire which destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively disabling its military.

Car rides pretty stiff but she's still running. I too am looking into coilovers now that the seat has been installed.

That was a red herring. Evo is still the weekend car but I got a Mazdaspeed3 as a daily driver... So what coilovers do you recommend?

Nothing dramatic if you let people be who they are. Sometimes a sabatical is a good thing.

Would Sunday work out better for you? Part of this is finding out what people want. We don't want to exclude people but those who work on weekends usually end up paying the price.

Sorry, I had to get that out of my system. We had the whole "You can't say Merry Christmas" thing here at work again this season. It's just a pain in the neck when people tell you what not to say... I understand being upset when someone curses you... But saying "Merry Christmas"??? It's like an actor being mad if someone says "break a leg".
