First Atlanta EVO meet!!
Hey - I was the only EVO there!!
That's cool tho
The car got a lot of attention and ran quite well.
They broke the cars up in 4 sessions, 5 runs each. I was in the second session. The track was smooth and fairly grippy - the layout was quite nice too.
I played a lot with the tire pressures and shock settings (Tein Flex). In some momentary lapse of logic..I neglected to set the camber.. Grrrrrrrrrr!! I ran 0.0 .. why I dunno. The car pushed through all five runs (all the while dropping the front pressures and shock stiffness). If I had set it to -2, it could have been so much better. Next time.
I only stayed through the second session (was 2pm when it was over - no lunch break!!).
I ran a 49.2.. which I believe to be the fastest time on street tires. Most people ran b/w a 55 and 53. Some good drivers 51s.. and the race tire folks 50 on down to 47 (for a fully race prepped M3 roadster).
They should have the times up on the website soon.
Hope to catch you guys next time!

Smokin Joe did I see you Saturday night going down Jimmy Carter?
I was in the silver Evo going the same way.I'm not sure how many black Evo's there are in Atlanta but this was the first one I have seen.
Still interested to know wich Autocross you went to was it not an SCCA event?

Yeah I was kinda in a hurry. I really like the Tarmac black, I was considering it when I ordered mine it was a hard decision both colors look great. Your car was the first Tarmac black one I have seen on the road in that color.

I took a look at your posted website for track times but couldn't figure out the days. Maybe you can tell us some dates and we can see what would work with everyones schedule.
Also did I see in another post you have added something to your Evo. Cant wait till the next meet I will try to set some time for when we can all meet up again in the next few weeks or so.

Cool we hopefully will have another meet soon in the Gwinnett Place area . Last two times we met at Dave and Busters seems to be a good common place for everyone to find. Just keep checking this post

Anyone else going to the novice school 10/25 at turner?? It's the day before points 9. Not sure If I'll run in the points.. have to see how my tires look after the novice school day.
Yeah I'd like to do a track day as well, just depends on cost and location.

I did a lil' research on the matter and found that this happens quite frequently to Kumho owners
Too bad, they were great tires... Until they nearly went kablooie
