spirit crushing humidity.

despite what you might have heard, don't come to florida unless you'll be on the coast (and not during the nice long hurricane season) or during the winter.

i'd say at least 3/4 of the year here, the weather absolutely SUCKS! whether it be the insect infestation (search here for "love bugs"), the spirit crushing humidity, the downpours every day in the summer, the allergy flaring overwhelming pollen...

i'll be a happy man once i'm out of this state, whenever that may be...

 

I remember FL when I was in Orlando - moved there in February - SOOOOOOOOOO nice compared to PA.

It actually got cold a few times - than the damn summer came - and sweat was literally dripping off of me

 

purecoda ur right...i live down south in ft lauderdale right next 2 miami and its a ***** everyday walkin around in regular clothes cuz u sweat ur *** off cuz of all the humidity in the air...UNLESS ur goin 2the beach all the time or walkin around not carin how u look...getting that "sticky" feeling is inevitable.... nice beaches tho...lol and the girls are nice....by the way...im 17 so ill be here for a while...

and as far as the girls go, they may LOOK nice, but northern chicks are 100 times better, HANDS DOWN. why? because they are more forward and can hold their own better than all the "daddy's little princess" down here.

 

yah ur right....girls up north seem more original and not brainwashed by all the bull**** down here....u know what the good thing about south florida is? you can get to america from there.... lol jp

!! I hate the heat but I don't think I'll ever leave... Job security from all the scumbags here and I love action... There's soo much going on wherever you go everyday!! And the roads are nice from no snow!! Nice and smooth... Although I wish we had a lot more cold days here...

 

the roads may be nice and clean but B O R I N G, at least here in orlando (too much traffic) and ESPECIALLY gainesville (its a complete GRID).

gimmie a nice and crisp fall day, when the cold air makes your engine brand new, and the open roads of rocks state park on a sunday afternoon in maryland... PURE HEAVEN!

 

You think Florida is bad try North Carolina. Same long-*** summer, deadly heat, suffocating hummidity, brain washed bimbos and as of recently rain everyday. Plus we get the worst damn roads in the country and where I'm located it's about five hours to the beach. Oh, we also get a little bit of snow every year, which causes the whole state to close down. Not to mention most people hear think that Mustangs, Camaros, and Corvettes are the only sports cars ever built. I'm ready to move back to Vegas

 

ah man. that bites. i've always though NC would be a good compromise if (more like when) i marry my girl from florida, cuz we ain't livin' here!

 

Well it has it's good points to. I just can't think of any right now. Other than my job. I'm sure there must be some reason I still live hear. What it is I don't know.

 

jonasan where in ft lauderdale do u live? i live right next 2 weston in davie.....its hott as ***** here everyday! but yes...on a clear winter day when its about 60 degrees out...florida is gorgeous..especially at night....so it doesnt suck that bad...except for sum of the ppl here... but o well..gotta love it

You are right, they are very boring... Too many straightaways.. Not enough curvy roads.. Although, there are a couple that I enjoy... I had a Vette try to keep up one morning, he didn't have a prayer...

The women are nice lookin here.. But most of them are in the "I'm too good for anybody phase"...

 

i'm living in NYC right now and was planning on moving to south florida if I can find a decent paying, like $35K+/year or more.

After reading this thread I'm thinking I should stay here in NYC.

i loved florida when I went there a few weeks ago on my vacation...but its also important to be able to find work down there to pay bills and stuff...

any advice?

 

i am only 17 but there are mannnnnny job opportunities down here..its so populated (not as NYC as you saw on your vacation) but u can def find work down here....many of my friends who have lived up north love it down here and say there are much better looking women down here than ne where else..which is true..everywhere u go there are gorgeous girls....u wont regret moving down here...only thing we need is to be a lil more spread out and more curvey roads...
