Apparently AC fans are a normal failure considering ITUNES then mine started the other day. Sounded like the car was dying litterally. Figured it out because it was intermitent and checked today after getting some food and low and behold, fan kicks on and sounds like rockers and the turbo is spinning without bearings. Easy fix so I am happy.

oh and fixed the altentor,... turns out that the 4 bolts holding it together,... BACKED OUT! fml. and my luck.

 

loctite is your friend... mine did that awhile ago..

 

was the altenator fried?

 

Nope still going strong at 110K and counting

 

yeah I think mine is though. got another one in now. so when I get some extra monies, ill send this one out to get tweaked.

 

Mine did the same thing with the 03. How the **** does that happen?

 

No balance shafts causes it to happen for one... Mine lost all bolts but one.... it was dead when reassembled though.

 

yeah my oil filter backed out earlier that day. no balance shafts and front motor mount.

HOW the HELL do you get your OIL filter to back out?? I've been 4 yrs with no balance shaft and NEVER had that happen.. I found my alternator bolts were loose but nothing alittle loctite couldn't cure.

 

Not really..we're pretty much all spread out... hell last get together I threw was WELL over a year ago right Justin? Its hard with everyone's schedule... should we try something for the start of the new year? If there is enough interest I can come up with an idea.. got a really good photographer who wouldn't mind doing the shots..last guy I paid with free food..
