Another local Jax guy here checking in - just got my '11 GSR a few weeks ago and loving it so far.. hating the notchy transmission now that it's getting colder outside.. any fixes for this issue!? :P Hope to meet a lot of you soon!

 

How many miles are on it? You can get some OEM fluid from the dealer and change it, will help out alot. Also make sure it has OEM fluid in the transfercase and rear end.

 

About 650 miles so far.. I don't have a good setup currently at my house to do a lot of my own car work.. my entire garage is a disaster for now. I doubt i'm low on fluids being so new, though.

Maybe if I complain to Mitsu, they'll replace the fluids for me, shrug :P

 

With the car being so new, you should go talk to them. They might change all your fluids out for you. You never know

It could have been? When and what day? I go down 9A often :P If you did, i'm sorry I must have missed it lol. To be honest i've only seen a yellow 8 or 9 on Philips Hwy in the morning.

Yeah it's pretty obnoxious when the transmission is cold.. I constantly have to double-clutch to get into first.. and after first, it feels like i'm about to break a gear to get into 2nd =(

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's NOT supposed to happen. I know its a new car, but how long did it sit on the lot without being driven? That might have something to do with it. Just change the fluids and hopefully that'll fix the clunkyness (if thats a word).

 

Oh, and I might be rolling down with JJ to Orlando on the Saturday before the meet. I might not be in the convoy, just a heads up.

 

Well it's that time of year again. I'll be doing my 2 weeks Navy at NAS JAX as usually getting ready for Air Show next weekend. So if ya see another GG Evo 9 MR on base it is me. I'll working at base Security. AND no I won't ticket anyone..
