hey guys, can anyone recommend what kind of pads and rotors I should invest in? Slotted vs. Dimpled vs. stock...

I'm pretty sold on the hawk pads...but rotors are my next purchase

 

does anybody know of any local places that sell defi gauges...boost in particular (also they would have to have them in stock so I won't have to wait for shipping) O and a good price would be nice too :-)

Apparently the dyno took a crap after some Vette so tuning has to get pushed to next Saturday for me (which is my bday actually! lol) Maybe we can try to plan that meet at the track for next Sunday? Who's available/interested in that for a meet next weekend?

 

Robert - Any headway with those pics from the last meet yet?

To be honest 1 of the best people to ask would be Jim...I think Jim actually uses the stock rotors on the track and slotted for the street...brakes will be the next thing my car needs also...I am not exactly sure on the brand pads I'm going with but something that grip nice for street and track but also cuts down on brake dust if possible...Hawk pads are pretty good and I was looking at those also...For rotors probably just go with some type of slotted rotors, not sure on the brand yet...I've heard too many stories with drilled rotors cracking and i don't have much experience or know much about dimpled rotors to say anything about them...Also do SS brake lines all the way around and put some decent fluid...but I will be going over my brake parts select with Jim a lot before I purchase anything...hope that helps...


I would be down for a track meet...I have to go to myrtle beach friday night till saturday night and I was gonna stay there till sunday morning but if we have a track meet ill come back early...that sucks the dyno got f*cked up...oh well at least your still getting it tuned next weekend...


selling the evo after getting all that sh*t replaced by the dealership for free...u bastard...send me a link to the for sale add and ill try and put it up on some other forums...what are u gonna get if you sell the evo?? Your probably gonna have to have a pretty low price for someone to buy it with the way the economy still is...unfortunately...good luck though man...
