Guys,
So my SRS light came on out of no where and after reading this thread

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-warrenty.html

it appears to be a common issue where water gets into where the wire harnesses are, long story short, i need to take it to a dealer to take a look at it and fix it for me, any recommendations since i have a tbe, bov, and an intake? i was thinking of going to the leith on the capital 1. has anyone had any experience with those guys?
Thanks

do a wiggle test.... wherever the wires are with the car running get someone to wiggle the harness and see if the light will go out.. if it does or flickers with wiggling it you can narrow down the short

I have no mods, so I can't really give you an answer about Leith. But I did have a salesman there tell me that if I modded my car, I'd void the warranty...

ah that sucks man! I am not sure if they could void the warranty just like that or not, the dealer in michigan that i dealt with told me that i don;t void the warranty or anything but if the issue was related to ur mod then i won;t cover it. i don't know if he's just being nice or what. will, i think iam gonna call them tomorrow and see what's up.
Thanks,

Let me know how it goes for you. I think it's serious BS when they threaten to void the warranty for every little thing...

I can understand if you mod the **** out of your car, then it's technically no longer a product, but voiding for bolt-ons is plain BS...

You should be fine since the car is still registered in MI, but if you have it registered here it won't pass inspection. I'll be going HFC when I get a TBE as well.

Mike - Forgot to tell you I've acquired my legal defense for that ticket haha If it goes well we'll have to take up a collection to put him on retainer!
