I'd say you're probably probably asking the wrong crowd about JDM parts for Evo's... the Raleigh crowd has been the less modded crowd until recently lol

I don't know about this Sunday but we can try to get one together next Sunday if there's enough interest. I vote for Cary. We haven't been there in a while and there's great parking there for pictures

EDIT - If there's interest in a meet this weekend, I'm not opposed to having people over to watch the US soccer game on Saturday. If there's any interest in that, let me know ASAP. I'm planning on going to a friend's house to watch the game but am willing to have people over if there's enough folks interested in watching the game.

My TC is whining, anyone know a dealership in the Triangle thats not going to give me a hard time replacing it?

My IX has 41k on it and my only mods are; AMS TBE, Profec II, ACT 6 puck, and a works drop in.

you could try leith in raleigh. I will tell you from my own experience from being a tech at dealerships they NEVER want to do warranty work cause pay is crap. They also have to actually contact a warranty company and the warranty company has to OK the repair and the company pays the dealership to do it. This is why alot of times they automatically tell you tough luck cause they dont want to deal with the hassle. I would just take it and see what they say, it cant hurt. If they tell you its going to be a million dollars then just be on your way and we can help you wherever you need. We have some spare tcases that need to be rebuilt we cold offer if you need us to get you a built one. Let me know if we can help man

^^ Thanks Justin, there's a few mitsu dealers near me (greenville, Leith). The local one closed a few years ago, so it looks like its going to be a hike either way. Is there any other solution for a stronger TC (mine is whining and I'm not putting down that much power), other than Shep?

yes. you can have the t-case rebuilt with a mitsu Helical LSD(same as in the RS) People have been using these drag racing over 700hp cars for years and they hold up great. It is also a good amount cheaper than the shep quaife diffs

I have tried Morgan mitsu in Durham, they covered few things for me under warranty. get a hold of Lenny (service manager) and talk to him b4 hand.
Herman is the mechanic that worked on my car.

^^ Thanks Detroit.

Justin PM me info on that TC, I will be pulling a double deployment in the upcoming year. So I will have a little extra $$. I'm not really into drag racing. BUT if it will hold up to launch abuse, it will work fine for HPDE, Time Attack and Auto-X.

Met a dude with a silver evo X at the mazda dealership today, says he browses the forums but doesn't post much. I tried to coax him into posting so hopefully he'll take the bait Could always use another evo at our meets.
