Well they wouldn't budge on the price... and told me they wouldn't give me more than 14k for my 1 year old Cobalt so I am going to sell it on my own... let it sit on the lot for a few more weeks and then let the price keep dropping.

I am going to go look at an 06 Evo 9 MR tomorrow it is 21k and has 22k miles on it... which I told the dealer about to.... HA HA HA

 

Next time you guys have any meets let me know.. as long as you don't mind a Cobalt hangin out untill I get the Evo.

It's just a borring 4dr cobalt!

 

I'd definitely find a IX if you can man... coming from someone who has had an VIII and a IX, you won't regret it later when your getting the extra power with less mods (MIVEC>no MIVEC)

 

i went up there to get my spoiler put on. and they knew theyd have to drill holes but when i got up there they said they didnt wanna do it... so thts a little over an hr drive for me. i ended up calling the place across the street next to the jeep dealership and they did it for me. so my evo is now complete. lol

 

I'm sure I just like the 8 looks wise the best hence why I was trying... and frankly there aren't hundreds of them around....

I checked ebay, cars and autotrader.com's and got 1 within 50 miles...


But I appreciate your help everyone.... I'll stick around here. Be on the lookout for a white cobalt SS with metallic black grills and it'll be me and the fact it's a 4dr!

Best advise i can give you M-Dub is be patient when looking for your evo. I spent years looking for the right deal. I ended up waiting a few years before i bought one and i got 1 hell of a deal. Pick up a 03 VIII with 10k miles on it for 18k... 1 owner. Youll find the right one!! Goodluck with your search.

 

Thanks man... I've been looking for almost a year.... never had the opportunity untill now to actually get one.

This 06 9 is as clean as I have seen and super low milage... frankly my 09 has 6k miles less

But thanks I would like to find an unmolested one but as I have found Evo owners like there mods!

 

Yes they do, dont get me wrong, mine had mods, but the guy drove it less than 1400 miles a year since he bought it... straight babied it. At the end of the day, best rule of thumb would be "dont settle on the first one you find" but if you have been looking for a year then you clearly already understand this. I still look for sweet deals on evos so if i see anything ill hit you up!!!!!

 

good luck finding a evo you want. Like everyone else said, be patient and wait on what you want. Dont settle for the first one that comes around. I would also highly recc you stick to the GSR evos with a 5speed and stay away from the 6 speed
