Hey guys got in an accident this morning. Got rear-ended on the last turn of my morning commute. I'm just thankful I was in the evo and not on the bike. I need a new trunk, defuser, taillights, and exhaust. I'm alright but I seriously hope this doesn't turn into a nightmare.

That sucks Jason!!! I live in terror of this sort of thing every day. Glad to hear you're okay, though!

unfortunately it has to be a state farm certified appraiser. Still hoping for good numbers (*crosses fingers*).

so they are not qualifying the dealer? thats crazy!
if the exhaust has been damaged as well, make sure to have them trace the damage all the way to the turbo, if u see a slight crack in the o2housing, bolt, antiseize...etc then have them pay for a new turbo..lol

i'm definitely going to see what they quote on the assesment as far as turbo damage. Exhaust was hit and actually got crumpled on itself. I'll be posting pics in a bit. Need to get them off my phone.

only mechanical thing that worries me is the acy fluid (thats my guess at least) which leaked. Not sure the severity of this or how intensive it is going to be to repair it. seriously hoping things turn out alright in the end. Even if I don't get a single "new" part (ie aftermarket) i just want my baby back.

if u ran the car without any oil in the ayc reservoir, u might have taken the risk of damaging the tcase, so make a note of that when talking to them.

i didn't run the car without it but the guy putting it on the tow truck did. O and he drove it up the bed too which shot a nice puff of clutch smoke out of the hood. I was pissed and asked him if that was the clutch and he was like yeh. I really REALLY don't want that to be messed up. O and he said my brakes didn't stop the car well. I was like really...you mean the brembo's, and he was like yeh. At that point I stopped talking to him.
