Yep...that was the only meet I've been to where people were still showing up as people were leaving hours later...
In the words of the Bunkers, "Those were the days!"
Oops, showing my age a little bit...

Yeah luckily the wife (then gf geez that really was a long time ago) was out of town that day so I didn't have a need to get back home. I was pretty nervous meeting you all since I didn't know anybody local at the time. Just remember ooing and ahhing over the force fed monster and showing off the x since they were barely a year old. good times for sure. Makes me want to set the spring cookout date really far in advance and see if we can drum up another huge turnout.

Update on the car:
First of all, she's a monster. The 2.2L combined with a stupid-fast spooling EF3 turbo makes for INSTANT power. We broke it in and ran it on 93 for the first 1000 miles, and put down a respectable 447whp on Force-Fed's mustang dyno (you do the math).
I also did my first drag passes at Fayetteville, for the fun of it, and was able to turn a 12.1 that was with a missed shift into 4th. Had I not missed, that would have put me into the mid-to-high 11's. It was definitely my best pass of the day, with a 1.9 60' and trapping speeds upwards of 120mph.
Just a couple of weeks ago, we drained it and filled it full of E85.
What a difference.
Problem is, I probably didn't plan well enough, and am already running out of fuel with ID1100's and the Aeromotive 340LPH. Even turned down at 25psi the car is stupid fast.
I'm traveling for the next 2-3 weeks and Justin & Co has the car figuring out what to do about the fuel system, and getting my rear fenders rolled, tucking 275's in there, so that I can throw it around some corners and really hammer on the suspension a bit to get that dialed in.
Hope to see you guys soon! I should be around for the December C&C if they're going to have one, but won't be back to Raleigh until Nov 18th.

Okay, so I hit 60K yesterday. How much wiggle room do I have before I do the 60K maintenance?
I'd like to wait until March, when the car is paid off if possible. That would probably put me around 65-68K miles. Is this feasible, or is the car magically going to throw its timing belt and self destruct at 60.1K?
Thanks.

stockish car that doesn't do WOT pulls will prob have no issue going more miles. i've personally never made it as far as recommended intervals and always did them early, so I'm not sure.
i guarantee the carnage of it breaking is a lot more money than the 60k service.
i would take a look at your timing belt to make the call. if it looks amazing you're probably good. if it is looking old, then it should be changed.
