Central Alabama shops

Does anyone know of a good shop where I can get a timing belt, etc. done on my evo. I am in Anniston AL, and there is a mitsu dealer in town, but I dont know if I want to get a dealership to do the work, or if i want to find a shop that may be cheaper and might do a better job. Any input would be helpful.

Hey....no shops that feature work on Evos but I do know of someone that can do it for you. We have a rather large Evo contingent around here; you need to meetup with us sometime....do you know Sara(Yellow) and C(Silver) in Anniston/Gadsden?

Hey, I do and I need to do my timing belt soon. I've auto-x'd with them both a couple times. Who can help me do the belt swap/cam install?

um.. im not 100% sure. and i hate to promote a company when im sure there is someone better. but speedsouth can do all that. or atleast they can do all that on a v8.. there are a few other shops im sure..

any mechanic can do a cam install, and a timing belt. both very simple, just need all the tools.
if you must have a speedshop to do it, i cant really think of a good one in the area that are known for evos or motor specific speed shops. (topspeed in atlanta would be an alternitive, and some 20 other shops over there, your close to the border... kinda)

- i dont normally look at the regional forums, so send me a pm if you have any questions.

You could always drive to Atlanta. There are dyno4mance and Forged Performance that can square you away. I drove from Atlanta to Birmingham once and stopped at Anniston because I went to an Army school there. I did see that dealership. Unless you know for sure that the dealership is mod-friendly I wouldn't take it there.
