Some progress. Ive been busy working on other projects and have not had much time to work on my own car. Took a break this evening and did a few things.

Clean the engine bay a lil bit and inspect/lube the steering rack bushings.

Then replaced my damaged lower control arm, toss the bushings and replaced it with new items from Energy suspensions.
The passenger side lower Arm were confirmed to be bent and its 130k miles bushings were damaged so that definitely hurt its performance. This corrected the caster and stiffen up the front suspensions nicely, cant wait to get it back on the pavement again. :0)

As far as the front end of the car everything is done ( aside for some new Camber/caster plates thats in route) and ready for the engine/ tranny/ transfer case to go back in, but before I do that Ill be working on the rear end of the car. This week project is replacing the bushings in the rear control arms, and rear diff housing/and mustache bar. The rear diff will be ship out next week for a built.

I still have lots to do before its back on commission, more than likely will not be ready for TNT or first event in March but should be ready for the April event. Now to go get some sleep. Zzzzzzz

Did you pull your engine from the top or drop it through the bottom? I need to pull mine, and looking for the easiest way possible.

Without a lift it's easier to pull it from the top. C

And yes, there are a few....well... 2 of us me and Heath that stay pretty active. We are both getting our cars ready for first autocross event in Feb, and national tour event in March. C

There's another Evo in your area, I finished building it last summer. Silver IX with buscher long block, shep trans and t case, FP green turbo. His user name is Vinchenzo. C

I stay pretty active on here but I hardly ever post. As far as working on my car goes, I still have a few things that I need to get done on it. First thing was getting my clutch installed, thank God thats over. After that I installed my PLX gauges (boost, and Wideband). Now all i have left to do is wire them into my ecu so I can log my wideband and boost, I have the ecu pins to do it just havent had any time. Maybe even use that 3 bar map sensor and transition to speed density, one day. Then i have an exhaust leak where my downpipe meets the testpipe that i need to fix, I have the gaskets but again no time. After that would be the lower support that runs directly underneath the downpipe. I need to space it out because the downpipe bangs on it and drives me crazy. Last but not least would be suspension. I currently have the hotchkis springs with stock struts. It sits really low and is really stiff. I would like to change those out something that isn't as low and isn't as stiff. I'm thinking about Eibach prokit but I dont know.

Why the chain? Throw a chain stretch code?
