ALABAMA.. who is all here?
It was...ridiculous. It took me 9 hours to get home on a commute that normally takes a little over 20min. After the first 3 hours, I was like, "damn, this sucks - I got get to my kids." After hour 6 my kids were being sheltered at school and my wife at a friend's house, I was like, "damn, this sucks. I gotta pee. I'm hungry. I have a headache from this big cloud of carbon monoxide of been sitting in." Around hour 8, I was like "Damn. I may die out here." Oh well, I made it, and everybody is safe.
My car never slipped or skidded unless I purposely made it do it. I'd watch people in 2wd pickups and RWD cars get owned constantly. My wife's RWD G35 with VLSD barely made it our of her parking lot at work. There were several 4WD trucksin n ditches because those guys think they can drive even faster during bad conditions. That was the only time I thought my car would get bent up was when some jack-*** in a jacked up Z-71 was all on my bumper because I was only going 10mph on an icy road with abandoned cars strewn all over the place.
It has been a few days since anyone has updated this thread so i guess I will give yall an update. It has been a rough week for the Evo and the Talon. Tuesday night i get home in the Evo and get my daughter out of the car, get the house unlocked, get her inside and wait on my son to come in. He is still messing around in the car. So finally he gets in the house and i lock up and call it a night. Keep in mind that it was raining when we get home and continues to rain through the night. So the next day I go to get in the Talon to go to work and i thought I noticed my Evo's door is open. I was like WTF someone has been in my car. Wrong, my son didnt shut his door the night before. So it got rained in, all night. Door panel was soaked, edge of the seat was soaked, water standing in the floor board. It was a mess and i was pissed. I wiped up as much as could then leave for work. When i get home I was going to drive the Talon around the Evo and park in front of it. So I swing it wide and go out in the field a little bit. About halfway through i remember the torrential downpour we had the night before. I was too late. Thats when the car stopped and started sinking. This was Wednesday, its still there today lol. So yesterday I drive the Evo, luckily the battery wasnt dead from the door being opened the night before. On my way home I notice there is a popping sound coming from the front driver side. It got really bad the more I drove it. I guess when i put everything back in from the clutch install something wasnt tightened or it just backed out. By the time I made it home it sounded like the whole front end was about to come out. So I guess this weekend will be filled with me pulling the talon out of the mud, fixing whatever is loose or broke on the evo, and changing the oil in my wifes car, fun, fun, lol.
Hope everyone else has had a better week than I have.

Anybody get out in the snow today? I took my wife to work on the rzr and then came home and tried to get my evo off jackstands. I have been waiting on conditions like this to see how it handles it and naturally I can't drive it lol.
This was about 3 years ago.
Yip... but no fun. Just commuting to the office. Last time we got snow the X was great. No troubles at all getting to and from work.

C,
did you corner balance with you in the car? Or at least put xxx lbs in the driver's seat to compensate?
Also how much fuel was in there?
Good job on the 50/50 cross weight. Just a little surprised at the 3361 total weight. When Brett and I built the STU STi, we were down to the low 32XX's. My X current is corner balanced and weighs in at 3404 with a half tank...figured the X would have weighed alot more than 43 pounds on your CT9A.
